“Pros: Rent was cheaper than usual. Large apartment with natural light. Near L'Industrie and subway lines. Cons: I couldn't use my kitchen because it was infested with roaches, with no end in sight. Even with an exterminator coming every month, it was still a problem. There are also mice that live in the walls, and the first week of moving in, 3 mice entered my apartment. The pipes are LOUD, and I had to sleep in a smaller room. My landlord wouldn't return my security deposit until I threatened to sue. One month the boiler stopped working, and we had no heat the whole time.”

“Pros: Close proximity to prime Williamsburg spots and nice neighbors on the street Cons: Cockroach problem on 1st floor. Building door was often broken and left that way for weeks. Difficult to get apartment damage repaired. Advice to landlord: Increase pest control and maintain entry better”
