2574 BEDFORD APARTMENTS LLC · avg 2.4 ★★★★★ · New York City
“Pros: Nice location, decent access to B/Q and 2/5 trains. Lots of families in the building. Cons: Impossible to contact management/ownership; for any maintenance needed we basically had to file a 311 complaint to get anything done, which happened frequently. Advice to landlord: Keep up to date phone numbers available, with a human able to respond or at least a message box!”
— 2574 BEDFORD AVENUE · Brooklyn“Unit 1D Pros: There is little that I can say that is good about this apartment. Almost nothing has been consistently up to standard. Cons: High ceilings add to the echo that is present in the apartment and it is exacerbated by the little to no insulation in the building, so you can hear all of your neighbors walking through their apartments. and it sounds like the stampede from Jumanji. Heat varies wildly throughout the apartment, and depends on the time of day, because the landlord does not keep the radiators on overnight to save money and avoid inspection violations. Management has been extremely unresponsive and has blocked our numbers. There has been roaches throughout the apartment since we moved in, and our extermination efforts have been in vain. This has been brought up to management, and never addressed. We have never paid a gas bill for this apartment because the landlord refuses to provide the meter number. The issues go on and on, but my fingers are getting tired. Advice to landlord: Respond to your tenants.”
— 2574 BEDFORD AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: Apartment is spacious. Cons: Roach infestation. Neighbors are noisy, but the roof top parties across the street are even worse. Management doesn’t respond to anything. Rats all over the garbage. Insulation is so poor that you can hear a pen drop on the neighbors floor.”
— 2574 BEDFORD AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: Close to Flatbush and 2 blocks away from beautiful tree-lined streets with houses past Ocean Avenue Target is walking distance Dollar cab on Flatbush comes in great handy Lots of good Caribbean food, beauty supplies, fish market and produce in this neighborhood Cons: Horrible management - unresponsive and too cheap to make the appropriate upgrades. For months people left garbage in the lobby and along the stairwell and no one cleaned it up. The people who live here smoke cigarettes in the building and all management did was put up a “don’t smoke” sign. This is a rent stabilized building with section 8 units and some people don’t care about upkeep of the building. The super only comes to mop once a week and doesn’t fix anything. The building has been so unsanitary and we complained to the management for months with no improvement. The windows are not insulated well- so we hear everything outside. The “modern” finishes were cheap paint and caulk and did not last for our 2 years living here. We’ve also had a roach problem. DO NOT LIVE HERE. Advice to landlord: Replace the windows and spend money to properly renovate the building. Keep the common areas and courtly are clean and send the super multiple times a week to clean bc the tenants here leave trash wherever they want.”
