“Pros: Lived here for several years. Management was responsive, friendly neighbors, charming apartments, great location and awesome doormen. Cons: Occasional roaches, smoker on first floor, boiling hot in winter.”

“Pros: Neighborhood is very nice, but not worth living here. Cons: Extremely overpriced and small apartments. Management of building is not up to par for the cost. Amenities are mediocre at best. Management/leasing is extremely unreliable when you need issues solved unless there’s something in it for them. Apartments have window AC units which cool well, but you aren’t able to control the heat, which runs 24/7 seasonally until the building decides to turn it off. Lots of water bugs/roaches in the warmer months. It was still running in late spring when it was not necessary, and it made the apartment unbearable. They did not provide any flexibility or even attempt to seem like they cared about their tenants during COVID-19. One third of the building is empty because people were fed up and realized they could get way more for their money. Many neighbors shared the same sentiments. Please, please don’t live here. You’ll regret it. Advice to landlord: Update management policies proactively. Invest money into sprucing up the “amenities.” Lower apartment costs. If you’re charging luxury prices in Brooklyn Heights, provide luxury living.”
