★★★★Jun 2025

Pros: It's a well built building that has been modernized pretty well for the most part. The building is kept really clean. The super is only part time (2x days a week) but he is great and friendly. The laundry is free and has nice machines. Cons: The management company has been increasingly dropping the ball, responding to more difficult maintenance jobs slowly. There’s often something broken - ranging from a single washing machine, to an elevator (for over a month), to the front door. The walls are somewhat thin. Advice to landlord: Preventative maintenance

Pros: great laundry machines, small gym but something, nice quiet area, elevator is nice and spacious Cons: cockroach infestation at move in, asked not to sign lease for second year and saw later they cut our one bed into two and then increasing rent by almost 1K, management company did not care about pests and it took 2-3 months to remove them, no walk through at move in but required walk through at least exit

Pros: The building itself is beautiful on the exterior and relatively quiet. Some new furniture was added to the rooftop, which was nice to use during the warmer months. Gym is kept clean. Cons: - Rents are increasing. Some one-bedroom apartments have recently been converted to two-bedroom apartments, and the management company is charging an exorbitant amount in rent. - The walls are quite thin so you are able to hear your downstairs and upstairs neighbors - Management owns a bunch of properties, so they can be quite slow with maintenance requests - Some neighbors are kind; however, there are many people in this building who don't break down their boxes and also leave their trash/furniture in the receptacles instead of putting it on the curb. It really speaks to their privilege that they expect someone else to deal with their mess. The super, John, is incredible, but it's a shame the cheap management only hires him twice a week and he has to spend a bunch of time breaking down boxes as opposed to maintaining other parts of the building. Advice to landlord: Lower rent. Hire the super more often.
