246 WEST 108TH ST L.P. · avg 3.8 ★★★★★ · New York City
“Pros: I moved to Morningside Heights for a short-term stay while figuring out where I wanted to live long term in NYC, and this place ended up being a really good starting point. The first thing I noticed was how easy everything felt from day one. I didn’t have to deal with setting up utilities or internet, which saved me a lot of time and stress, especially right after moving. Day to day life was really convenient. I’d usually grab coffee nearby in the morning, walk through the area, and sometimes go down to Riverside Park. Having the subway close made it easy to get anywhere in the city without overthinking it. The apartment itself was comfortable and had everything I needed, nothing extra, but exactly what works for daily life. I also met a few interesting people while living there, which made the experience more social than I expected. It ended up being one of those places that just made settling into New York a lot easier. Cons: Limited space, typical for NYC apartments”
— 246 WEST 108 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Great location near trains and parks. The block feels safe and active but not overwhelming. The building has that classic prewar character which gives it personality. Neighbors were mostly quiet. Easy access to groceries and cafes. Cons: It’s an older building, so you notice small things like heating noise in winter and typical wear in common areas. Nothing dramatic, but it’s not modern or recently renovated.”
— 246 WEST 108 STREET · Manhattan“Unit 3W Pros: I stayed at 246 West 108 Street for several weeks in NYC. Overall, it was a solid experience and the building worked well for both living and remote work. The area feels safe and residential, yet you’re very close to Central Park, which is a big plus for walks and morning runs. The building itself is generally quiet, and the apartments are functional and comfortable for longer stays. Cons: Minor maintenance details could be improved”
— 246 WEST 108 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Quiet, calm, and chill inhabitants. Rooftop access is a nice touch, and the gym is great. Cons: Certain bedrooms are freezing if you don't have your own heater in the winter. Owners are not quick to respond to service requests. Cleanliness isn't kept well.”
— 246 WEST 108 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: I stayed in an Economy room and everything was great. It’s a comfortable place with all the essentials, and I really appreciated that there’s even a gym. The house was clean, the common areas were easy to use, and the staff were always quick to respond when I had questions. For the price and location, it was a really good experience. Cons: The only minor downside is that the room is on the smaller side - but for the price, it’s totally fair.”
— 246 WEST 108 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: I’m living in an Economy room in this house, and overall everything is pretty good. There’s a grill/BBQ, rooftop access, and a gym — everything I really need. They also host occasional community events where you can chat with neighbors, get to know people better, and enjoy some pizza. Cons: The gym is not very large and can feel limited. Maintenance requests can take some time to be resolved.”
— 246 WEST 108 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: I enjoyed my time at the Central Park Manhattan House. The neighborhood was great for morning runs, and the room had plenty of storage. Cons: I would’ve loved if the kitchen appliances were updated, but overall, it was a great experience.”
— 246 WEST 108 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: I’ve really enjoyed living here the Morningside Heights area has everything I need within walking distance, from grocery stores to nice cafés. The apartment itself is comfortable and gets good natural light, which makes it feel inviting. Cons: I’m giving 4 stars only because the building could use a few updates, but overall it’s been a very good experience.”
— 246 WEST 108 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: It is a great location on 108th st, and accessible for students, especially. Apartment sizes are also fairly large Cons: Poor trash management, walk up does make it a bit hard. Management was responsive, however.”
— 246 WEST 108 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Been living there for 6 months. Nice nyc features such as brick wall etc. appliances were stainless steel and new. Cons: Layout is narrow, walk-up, garbage management is the worst which leads to many rats on the entrance. There's no way to get packages, and landlord was non-responsive at all. Advice to landlord: Clean the entrance more regularly and make sure super take out the trash. It brings pests.”
— 246 WEST 108 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: There were plenty of young professionals in this building. Cons: Absolutely abysmal communication. Super did not reply. Heat was terrible. Advice to landlord: Find another place”
— 246 WEST 108 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Proximity to campus. Cons: Garbage everywhere, over heating, cockroaches, no sunlight. Advice to landlord: Clean the garbage on the first floor and get better pest management.”
— 246 WEST 108 STREET · Manhattan“Unit 4A Pros: Apt had a New York stylish interior (brick wall in the living room) but that’s about it... Cons: Lived here for 6 months between in 2017. The worst was the poor pest control and garbage management- I used to come back home from school and find out that garbage is pilling up at ground floor. One time there’s literally a garbage mountain, that after two days turned into a rat colony and it was really scary to enter the building... management and landlord were unresponsive about that matter. Also the walls in the rooms are paper-thin; I could hear my roommate breathing next to me at night- and no, we didn’t sleep at the same bed. Luckily for my roommates and me it was just an interim apartment... Advice to landlord: Hope that since we have left the building, garbage management and pest control got better. If not - take care of it.”
