“Unit 4C Pros: -close to union square, grocery stores and subways Cons: Property owner and leasing agents TERRIBLE to work with. Terrible, selfish people who are greedy and unhelpful. Michael Fine, the leasing agent and his team told my roommates and I they are purposefully rude to prospective tenants just because they can and don’t care. They kept on showing our apartment even after it was signed, just so they could collect application fees from people. They showed our apartment for over a week straight just to collect those application fees and didn’t care that they were having multiple open houses in our space. I got to the point where we had to tell the leasing agent that they need to stop showing our apartment because we knew that it was already taken. They are not communicative with current tenants that they are showing the apartment and inside to us that will just find out if there’s gonna be an open house or not depending on if they show up and we couldn’t plan our days because of it. The open houses would have like 40 people or more while we were trying to pack and leave the apartment. During our actual time at the apartment, the apartment was ok but the leasing officer Millie was extremely rude.”
— 238 EAST 14 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: lived here 2 years, in unit washer/dryer, super always replied quickly, good location Cons: mice and roaches but what can you do. package theft was insane and management won't do anything t Advice to landlord: install a camera in the hallway to figure out where the packages are going”
— 238 EAST 14 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Spacious rooms, respectful neighbors, responsive super Cons: Bad water pressure, garbage is dragged through the lobby, packages are stolen from lobby, block is overrun with food delivery bikers”
— 238 EAST 14 STREET · Manhattan“Unit 2B Pros: Close proximity to the L train and Union Square Station, and located on the edge of the East Village Washer/Dryers in most (if not all) units in the building Modern appliances Competitively priced Cons: Rent increased year over year by ~30% Incredibly loud neighborhood, especially if your unit faces 14th Street Very young tenants - recent college grads and current students Severe mice/rodent problem that does not get addressed in a timely manner. Our unit had mice in it all the time. Heaters during the winter weren't working properly (At first, eventually were fixed after a few weeks) Hot water would occasionally run out in the building for entire days (usually fixed within 24 hours) Advice to landlord: Take better control on the pest problem, be more responsive when tenants reach out about pest & heating problems”
— 238 EAST 14 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Good location, big space. Cons: Mice, landlord not responsive.”
