“Pros: Nice apartment building with good appliances Cons: Neighbor was so dirty it made the whole building smell”
— 237 HENRY STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Location. Near Trader Joe’s and Target in very close to bustling LES and Chinatown. My apt (1D) was the duplex on the first floor, had a private basement floor and large private outdoor deck. Washer dryer included in lease. Management company was pretty responsive to our needs and sent people to fix/repair when possible. Building is cleaned regularly. Cons: Specifically for 1D unit — the door downstairs connects to a hallway where there is an entrance to the basement where Management keeps their supplies. Basement door was left open one day and someone broke in. Another incident happened where someone in management accessed the downstairs door without notifying me and I caught them on camera. BE CAUTIOUS IF YOU RENT THIS APT. Outdoor space had wood flooring but when rain goes through the cracks it leads to a mosquito infestation outside. Cannot control temps in building - super HOT in the summer with barely any window to put an AC unit. Super cold in the winter because the heating sucks. Air circulation is very poor so beware when cooking. Advice to landlord: No advice to give.”
