“Unit 25 Pros: Good location, management is pretty responsive to complains. Cons: Repairs are primarily done by super, so not always good quality. We had a mouse on the 6th floor due to a hole in the wall.”
— 238 EAST 25 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: The best water pressure ever! Shower is amazing Cons: 25th Street can be busy,.as there is an exit off the JFK. On the flip side, it is easy to get too. Advice to landlord: Thank you!”
— 234 EAST 25 STREET · Manhattan“Unit 1 Pros: Reasonably priced rent, friendly owner who is really responsive, no rats/no roaches, quiet building on a fairly quiet street. Heat works well and water pressure is perfect. Cons: Sometimes the super takes a while to tend to issues. And sometimes the lobby/stairs aren't the cleanest. Advice to landlord: Nothing”
— 238 EAST 25 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Building location was great, pretty safe neighborhood. Haven’t had any issues with the building itself, mild plumbing issue sometimes but not too bad. Aside from the initial move in, I haven’t had any issues with bugs. Cons: The heat in my apartment was inconsistent. It was freezing during most day times and hot at night. Sometimes, the plumbing went down slow at times. Advice to landlord: Re-check heating system yearly.”
— 238 EAST 25 STREET · Manhattan“Unit 4 Pros: affordable rent during the rent spike Included water and heat Cons: Horrible floors (my bed is crooked because they failed to let us know the floor is broken and we didn't notice because the broker was rushing us out the apartment.) Didn't properly clean stuff when we initially moved in. People steal packages for some reason here but not sure if it's residents or random people. Horrible lighting and too small. Heater never turns on when it's freezing. Small appliances. No room to store anything. Not the apartment's issue but very rude broker that barely showed us the place and pressured and took advantage of us into the lease because we were rushing before school started. Advice to landlord: Get better super and brokers. Fix the FLOORS. My bed literally rocks because the legs don't sit even.”
— 234 EAST 25 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Location to transportation and dishwasher Cons: Pests, very hot, lost mail”
— 234 EAST 25 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Rent stabilized building and LL let’s u sign a 2 year lease at a time. Not bad location at all, very clean building. Super lives here and him and his wife are always cleaning etc. anything broken will be fixed pretty fast even though it’s covid. Landlord is like the nicest guy. The agent he uses though is kinda a tool but it doesn’t matter bec the landlords nice which is RARE in nyc. Cons: For whatever reason Saturday mornings are LOUD. Why? Idk. It’s just so fucking loud as the supers taking our garbage and god knows what else is happening. I wish I could sleep in but by 9am u have Maintenance people yelling on top of their lungs. That’s the only downside. Advice to landlord: Please ask staff to keep it down on weekend mornings so we can sleep in!!”
