“Pros: Young Lively Modern hallways and entry Cons: Units themselves could be a little more modern”
— 226 EAST 30 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: I lived in a studio here and overall it was a great starter apartment. The layout worked well for the space and it felt comfortable for one person. The super is excellent—very responsive and helpful whenever anything came up, which made a big difference day-to-day. Location is also convenient with easy access to everything in the area. Cons: It can be a bit noisy, especially depending on your unit and street exposure, but you do get used to it over time. The biggest downside is package security—packages do get stolen occasionally, so you have to stay on top of deliveries or use alternative options. Advice to landlord: Improving package security would go a long way—either better monitoring, a secure package room, or a more reliable system for deliveries.”
— 226 EAST 30 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Lots of young new NYC resident Great location by a lot of restaurants, etc. the 6 subway line can be tedious (transfers) but everything is walkable for the most part Cons: Virtual doorman system needs some work - lots of issues with package stealing, homeless have came into the building, etc because people just scan them in without paying attention to who it is Advice to landlord: Occupants love it! So just remember that we want to make it better vs complaining”

— 226 EAST 30 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Solid location with basic amenities. Walking distance from restaurants, bars, Trader Joe’s. George the super is really responsive. Overall a good place to start if you’ve just moved to NYC and don’t mind making the trade-off of space/amenities for convenience. Cons: We had a rodent issue that was resolved relatively quickly. No package organization - literally everything gets dumped in a pile in the mail room - resulting in package theft.”
— 226 EAST 30 STREET · Manhattan“Unit 4E Pros: It’s a solid building with two elevators, laundry in basement, and virtual building access Cons: Construction has been going on for a while and not sure when it will end. — 226 EAST 30 STREET · Manhattan“Unit 13G Pros: The superintendent George is the BEST The laundry room is convenient; 24/7; noise not bothering anyone Cons: It's Kips Bay so lots of 20-somethings and very noisy Pain in the ass getting my rental deposit back; took months possibly due to change in personnel and me falling through the cracks but I had to email and call many times”
— 226 EAST 30 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: I was there from July 2019 to March 2020. The super was responsive for requests. The building made move-out during Covid fairly easy. AC worked fine. Location is convenient. Electronic rental payments. Cons: Poorly/yellow lit hallways. Laundry was a bit of a coin toss as always is the case with having laundry in the building - many tenants and few machines meant stuff constantly getting chucked out of the washer right after it beeps, by someone else who was waiting. At one point the kitchen was renovated over a period of several days leaving the kitchen completely barren and useless, we probably should've been compensated for that in some way. Massive unreasonable security deposit of 3 months rent, I couldn't believe between the 3 of us as roommates we had to pay 15k security deposit, though we got it all back after move out. Note: if you have not seen the article about the psycho posing as a delivery man who assaulted a poor woman who lived in this building, you should look it up. Advice to landlord: Install better security system / camera buzzers”
— 226 EAST 30 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Updated kitchen and bathroom Laundry in building Cons: Management will not answer. There have been some safety issues in the building and when I emailed them about additional safety measures, they didn’t answer”

— 226 EAST 30 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Well managed building. Good, responsive live-in super.
