“Pros: Interior of our apartment was always clean because we kept it that way never saw roaches or pests (except the occasional bug). Honestly pretty responsive from the property managers and low rent. Actually really enjoyed living here for the most part! Cons: Dead roaches in the hallway, though it’s gotten better and didn’t really affect me since they weren’t in my apartment. Neighbors can be inconsiderate leaving things in the hallway during move out and it won’t get cleaned up unless you ask someone to do it.”

“Pros: The location is great, with Trader Joe’s and Target just a few blocks west AND east. Apartment was on ground floor but quiet. Has high ceilings so made space feeler bigger than it was. Cons: Appliances were quite old and management can take awhile to respond to maintenance requests. Front door buzzer is broken 75% of the time. Building generally is older.”

“Pros: Location — walkable to downtown and close to Union square Cons: Dirty, has pest problems, and the area isn’t the safest”

“Pros: Good location in the middle of a bustling area Cons: Front door never closed , packages stolen , nothing fixed in 2 yrs I lived there , mice , cockroaches , workers on scaffold looking into apt Advice to landlord: Clean this building and secure it !”

“Unit A Pros: Great location, the radiators work, hard wood floors, freshly painted walls, no street noise. Cons: Live in supe isn't responsive. He will wait till the owner of the building chastises him. There is trash in the hallways from cleaning out old apartments. Stove hasn't worked for four months and they are in no rush to fix it. Bug problems. The place is dark and poorly laid out. Advice to landlord: Get a better live in supe, get the trash managed daily, allow for recycling, work on making the roof an accessible place for residents.”

“Unit 2R Pros: Fantastic location, responsive super, appliances old but in good working condition Cons: Head went out for almost a week in the winter with slow response and no rent reduction Advice to landlord: Lower the rent”

“Unit 5S Pros: Rent was cheap. Didn't hear the neighbors much from the top floor. Cons: Hallways were dirty. Packages were frequently stolen or never showed up. Pest issues. Hot water was hard to come by. Advice to landlord: At least fix the damn boiler.”

“Pros: Conveniently located. Neutral about management—I haven’t needed to contact them, and they haven’t bothered me either. Moderately clean for a walk up building, I haven’t had any issues with pests. Pretty quiet, other than the 2 times a year the building behind this one has a college patio party. Cons: The walls are decently soundproof but the floor/ceilings aren’t. Very obvious and annoying to be able to hear what the upstairs neighbours are doing. The building has a package theft problem, pretty consistently. Kitchen doesn’t have a range top so you can’t cook much without the whole apartment getting smelly/smoky.”

“Pros: Super quiet and homey neighbors are really chill. Super and management are beyond horrible and irresponsible. The ladies who manage the garbage are great but they’re the only ones who keep up with the building. I’ve seen two human poops in the building common areas during my two years here- there is still a skid mark on the wall. Cons: Management couldn’t care less. Jared kushner might have been a better landlord. We didn’t have gas for like 6 months and rent didn’t change Advice to landlord: Clean the building at least once every few months….OR EVEN YEARS”
