“Pros: great super, laundry in building, nice roof Cons: when it rained the ceiling would cave in”
— 222 EAST 3 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: - Large back outdoor area - Generally clean - Elevator and laundry were both great Cons: - Packages were frequently stolen due to removal of doorman and insertion of package locker system that none of the carriers except USPS knew how to use”
— 222 EAST 3 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Rooms are spacious, AC in unit is great, roof has the best views of the city hands down, maintenance is super nice Cons: Management company is AWFUL! There is no reaching anyone that has any power (or brain). Instead you have to go through an office lady who has 0 clue what is going on and could care less what happens. They increase your rent by double digits every year and when you try to negotiate they just tell you to leave (probably why there were empty units for months at a time) Advice to landlord: Fire Lena”
— 222 EAST 3 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: No bugs, no mice, clean, attentive super, big lobby, nice roof Cons: Elevator always breaking, laundry room kinda outdated”
— 222 EAST 3 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: nice roof, super is kind and pretty attentive Cons: management is not responsive/helpful, roof can get really loud”
— 222 EAST 3 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: -Beautiful furnished rooftop - friendly neighbors - Super is amazing, incredibly kind, and responsive - close to soho Cons: Far from trains”
— 222 EAST 3 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: We got 2 months free so it was a good deal! Nothing wrong with the building and super is busy but generally responsive. The appliances and finishes are definitely not high quality but overall we enjoyed our time here. Cons: Cheap appliances and finishes”
— 222 EAST 3 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: The super and his assistant Cons: Washers and dryers always busted ?? Apartment is not heated as per law - it is freezing!! Windows have cracks on the seals so also adds to the cold inside. Got a hole in my ceiling where rain comes through since June 2024 … was given a bucket to catch the water ????? Entry system does not work ! Entrance door to building does not lock shut?? Lena the maintenance contact person is not bothered and does not solve anything!!!! Advice to landlord: Read the above please and sort it out !!!!”
— 222 EAST 3 STREET · Manhattan“Unit 6H Pros: It's located in a good area. Cons: Things like the laundry room and front door break frequently for weeks at a time. Took two weeks to repair the laundry room this last time. The management said that these items are luxuries and they have no obligation to repair them quickly. Spent a lot of money on laundry and had to replace a lot of packages as a result. Advice to landlord: You would be embarrassed if you read how Lena emails residents. She has no idea what she's doing. Take a look.”
— 222 EAST 3 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: The super is responsive and will help asap. The amenities are nice, rooftop, elevator, etc when they are available and working. The area is relatively quiet for downtown. Cons: The elevator breaks CONSTANTLY. Once a week at minimum. It’s concerning and there is a definite need for a new elevator. There are barely any usable washing machines as they are almost always broken. A few of the neighbors are loud, gross, and make a mess frequently on the rooftops. Many have pets that they don’t clean up after. Building management is also disorganized, they are usually mixing up paperwork, sending the wrong contracts to tenants. Advice to landlord: Please upgrade the machinery and get organized.”
— 222 EAST 3 STREET · Manhattan“Unit 6g Pros: Incredible roof has the amenities Cons: the ceiling leaks when it rains. Do NOT live on the 6th floor. Management is rude but the super is great”
— 222 EAST 3 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Amazing view from the roof Cons: Can be noisy in the backyard at night Advice to landlord: Had some mice on first floor”
— 222 EAST 3 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: The roof is amazing! Cons: Kind of a fratty tenants. People were loud and sometimes left beer cans on the roof and didn’t pick up after themselves. Over all I had a good experience living in the building”
