Pros: Neighborhood, lots of Windows and light, lots of storage Cons: Ancient and clearly minimally maintained; apartment has not been renovated in at least 15, 20 years; roaches and other disgusting bugs live there 24/7. No Súper un building, STEEP and dangerous stairway, no elevator; zero amenities [ management refers to the fact that the building is smoke free as an Amenitiy. What a load of Bull!] A nonsmoking building is a hostile environment for smokers and non smokers alike. Zero incentive to rent. Advice to landlord: Renovate every apartment bringing all to the same level of modern function (out in a microwave, this is the 21st century) . Hall carpets are filthy-remove and replace. Common areas are stained and the walls are all cracked and falling to the floor. Fix it. Disgusting. If owner wants to increase the rent RENOVATE! I’ve never paid this amount of rent in my life . for SO LITTLE. My apartment is way overpriced. The owner is a slumlord and CHEAP as it gets. Shame on the Owner. Sure the neighborhood is great but lying down in bed with 1/2 dozen roaches, silverfish and other creatures reflects how much attention is paid to that building. Nasty! Negotiate the rent when looking at this and any other buildings they own.
