“Unit 3B Pros: Cheap, good neighbors, not bed apartments Cons: Terrible manegment and sometimes bugs Advice to landlord: Response to the messages of the renters”
— 21 CATHERINE STREET · Manhattan“Pros: great new management Cons: last winter under previous management heat did not work for months”
— 23 CATHERINE STREET · Manhattan“Unit 4D Pros: Building is in a cool area. Units are nicely redone. People are friendly. New management is a huge improvement over the past one. Cons: Hallways are a little dar Advice to landlord: Brighten up the hallways and clean the common areas better”
— 21 CATHERINE STREET · Manhattan“Pros: If you live here everything will be close. The F/M/4/3/6/D/Q subway lines are walking distance (10-15 min) from this apt but I don't think that's worth it. Cons: Where do I start? I have been living here since Sept 2023 and since we got here we have had a bedbug problem which they haven't fixed and they told us through the phone they don't have nay money to fix our problems. We didn't had heat the majority of winter and their only excuse was that they were trying to fix it. There's someone in the building that collects trash and the whole hall is full of bags with "recycle". Our neighbor hasn't had a working fridge for months and they haven't fix it. Overall, it's a bad management that doesn't want to fix the broken things in the apts. Since we moved in, we see tenants move out every month or every two months and we understand why. Please don't move here.”
“Pros: Updated fixtures Reasonable rent for the size and location Cons: Management is not responsive Multiple bedbug cases No heat in the winter despite filing multiple complaints with the city Advice to landlord: Communicate with your tenants”
— 23 CATHERINE STREET · Manhattan“Unit 2B Pros: My unit is newly renovated with new appliances, not too much noise from neighbors, quick and responsive maintenance Cons: New management is trying their best but garbage and recycling is a mess and we had a month where there was no lock on the front door of the building and a homeless man was sleeping in the lobby area. Packages go missing”
— 23 CATHERINE STREET · Manhattan“Pros: I love the neighborhood and my unit. It is recently renovated to ensure that it can no longer be rent stabalized. Cleaners are prompt when a call is made for poop in the hallway or vestibule. Cons: Winter brings the rats and cockroaches. We have learned how to manage and keep it under control for next year but it’s a bad bad problem. The landlord left the front door without a lock for quite a while which meant someone lived in our halls and pooped everywhere. This happened for a few months. Currently, this building is experiencing a lot of vacancies because rent is going from 2300-3300. This is due to “COVID discounts” being removed but we all knew it would be short lived.”
— 21 CATHERINE STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Nothing is a pro Cons: Everything is bad Advice to landlord: Take care of the rodent and garbage problem”
— 21 CATHERINE STREET · Manhattan“Pros: steps aren’t too steep. Heat and water included. newly renovated units. Cons: Mail situation is bad. Not the best front door security. roaches are present. Advice to landlord: more pest control plz”
