“Pros: elevator was great (if it was not broken) never hugely messy very updated apartments with great appliances, beautiful kitchen Cons: the amount of pests the garbage room was a disaster a lot of the time I was there -- bugs flying everywhere, really disgusting didn't feel safe going home at night not a lot of cameras/etc”

— 1867 2 AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: Management is responsive, professional, and generally easy to work with. Modern finishes, dishwasher, laundry in building, ample closet space. These units look really nice and are generally sound proof. We rarely heard out neighbors. Air conditioning is relatively energy efficient and built in. Tons of natural sun light! Cons: As soon as we moved in the hot water heater was down for 3+ months. Despite there being a portable water heater there was barely any hot water and the laundry room was out of order. It was eventually resolved, but the city dragged their feet on the inspection. There was also a pretty serious mice issue, but thankfully management offered monthly extermination. Towards the end of our time here roaches started popping up since the super didn’t have a good handle on trash management. In general, the super is unresponsive after your first month here. He would give no notice to stop into our apartment and would leave things ajar like the windows which made us think our apartment was broken into. We really tried to work with him, but he was stubborn and abrasive. Advice to landlord: We generally enjoyed living here, however, I think turnover would be less if there was a more reliable super. Also, please consider installing a better buzzer system. Mail theft and UPS not being able to get into the building was a huge pain point.”
— 1867 2 AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: The management company is fairly responsive. They operate a few buildings here and it shows. This isn’t their first rodeo. However, the apartments are cramped for space. Cons: The super (in our time) was aggressive and refused to show up. Once cornered us in the laundry room to tip him for the holidays (we tip on New Year’s, it was before Christmas). He got no tip and we moved out because he was sketchy af. Advice to landlord: Get a different super and the place would be great!”
