“Pros: Hotel 17 has a unique, old-school NYC charm that’s hard to come by in modern apartment buildings. It’s a little vintage, yes, but in a cozy way that feels very “New York.” Rooms are spacious enough for comfortable living, though they’re on the simpler side. The building is older, so expect some quirks (the occasional creaky floor, some retro decor), but for me, this adds to the charm. Cons: It’s an older building in a lively area, so there can be some street noise, but it’s not unbearable. If you’re a light sleeper, I’d suggest bringing earplugs. The heating works well in winter, and the windows let in a good amount of light.”
