Advice to landlord: Small upgrades would go a long way, like modernizing appliances. But keep rent prices affordable and people will likely excuse those smaller things!”

Replacement of mailbox key - no response. Apartment has never looked the same as I was shown by broker. On first day I noticed ceiling cracks from leaking. I asked to repair it - no response. Roaches, mice and bed bugs. Dirty hall stairs Broken lock. One time I was locked inside the building due to broken lock. I called management and super so many times. No response. It is very hard to get management attention to your problem. Management responds quickly only when it is related to rent payment. Advice to landlord: Communicate with your tenants. It is not normal to answer question about alternative rent payment quickly and ignore all other emails and phone calls about tenant’s problem. Clean stairs more often during summer.”
