“Pros: Laundry in unit and new appliances Cons: Mice infestation, roaches, rats in basement and walls (could hear them scratching at night). Heat was either off or on so hot that candles would melt, walls would be hot to touch, and medications expired. Trash would overflow in hallways since on Avenue and cannot put outside. Smelled awful. Downstairs door slammed so loudly could hear in all units. Apartments are tiny. Walls so thin you can hear all neighbors. No latch-locks on inside so anyone with a key can enter.”

— 1573 3 AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: - skylights on the top floor - convenient location (close to express trains 4, 5 and Q) - great and lively neighborhood Cons: - management is very unresponsive (only responds if something is damaging the apartments) - was living with broke and leaking radiator for coldest months of winter (because they won't fix it) - heard neighbor's apartment was leaking water from the roof - rooms are tiny! (can't fit a desk after fitting bed) - NO CLOSETS - generally poorly maintained building - hallways are very narrow - difficult to walk through if people are putting things there - had cockroaches twice (even though I lived high up) - neighbors are fairly quiet but lots of sirens at night - overall not good value - could get better apartments at this price point Advice to landlord: be more responsive and fix the things that your tenants need you to”
