“Pros: great neighborhood but that's about it. Cons: fake cctv in the lobby, shitty and dismissive superintendent and management company. broken washers. thin floors and walls and being between these car rentals means it's noisy all the time. and this particular street is really dirty. they're really stingy with the heat and insulation is terrible. Advice to landlord: have some morals”
— 155 WEST 83 STREET · Manhattan“Unit 121 Pros: I love the location and it is pretty well maintained. They are excellent at pest control. Cons: My apartment is TINY. It only fits a futon and the rent is way too high. It is freezing in the winter. Advice to landlord: Lower the rent for these freezing, tiny studios.”
— 155 WEST 83 STREET · Manhattan“Unit 115 Pros: Great location, generally updated building and apartments Cons: Management is obnoxious and not responsive. Super is nice but I have no idea when he’s coming to look at a problem in my apartment. Heat is non existent, apartment has been 10 degrees colder (less than 60) this winter and has not been fixed by management despite my calling NYC housing. They say heat is included but I had to buy a space heater which doubled my electric bill. Tub faucet leaks leaving a mildew rim if I don’t clean it for more than one day (management won’t fix it), and the water is usually not that warm. I have multiple friends who live on the west side and pay similar rents for much better, warmer apartments with more responsive management. Disappointed in this place given how expensive it is. Advice to landlord: Please fix the heat and don’t be so dismissive of tenants’ issues”
