“Unit 5B Pros: Huge rooms with lovely original parquet floors. Decent light. Doorman. Laundry in building. Close to the lovely Sutton Pl Park on E 57th for some respite from Midtown craziness. Very lovely and responsive landlord. Cons: Very small kitchen, and cosy living room. But in exchange you had larger rooms. Rent increased as the weight of Covid lifted. The process of going through a condominium approval is arduous and pricy, but the doormen were very lovely and noise levels were very very low. Price did increase too high for us to stay, but I suppose that's to be expected for this neighborhood.”

“Unit 9c Pros: The building was nice. Cons: Everyone that works there is just looking for tips all the time. The management company still never returned my security deposit after almost 90 days!”

“Pros: Location, location and just the location Cons: Everytime you cook the fire alarm goes on because there is no ventilation in the bathroom and kitchen which caused cockroaches getting in the apartment through the ventilation system and also mold in the bathroom (you can see it in the roof). The AC had mold and it took almost two months to get it replaced. The bedroom on the left get ridiculously hot because the new AC is not working and the insulation was not installed properly. Both ACs are not cooling and the landlord will always look for the cheapest solution. The bathroom also has mold and the paint is flaky, the landlord refused to do any repairs while the lease was active even tho my roommate and I had no issues with repairs being done. One month before leaving she started showing the apartment, on our “lease agreement” not contract, she included a clause that allows her to visit and show the apartment anytime she wants and in one of those days she broke the faucet lever, keeping us +3 weeks without water. To use light on the left room you must use an extension, you also need extensions on the right room because the main plug only works if the lights are on Advice to landlord: Keep an eye on apartment 3E because it violates several housing rules.”
