“Pros: Location, vibes, apartment interior Cons: Bugs, smells, noise Advice to landlord: Vigilance check for bugs”
— 30 WESTMINSTER ROAD · Brooklyn“Pros: Great price, very close proximity to Prospect Park and easy access to two transit sites. Also, the Ditmas park homes a few blocks down are gorgeous to walk to. Cons: Had a large rat problem outside this year due to garbage. They moved it to the front of the building for the time being, but it is still an issue in our neighborhood. Also, the supers change pretty frequently and management office does not reply quickly.”
— 15 WESTMINSTER ROAD · Brooklyn“Pros: The location of the apartment is nice but other then that the building is terribly managed, full of roaches/ has had issues with mice, and management is basically useless// never responds to any phone calls/ emails/ concerns Cons: Serious roach problem, roaches all over building hallways / lobbies- windows and doors left open letting them come right in. Management NEVER does their job right/ NEVER answers phone or email. It’s honestly hysterical how terrible they are at their jobs. You could get away with ANYTHING in this building and they’d still never notice. Terrible at repairs, holes and cracks all over floors/ walls allowing more pests in. Management is extremely cheap. Fridge broke several times they refused to replace, super says things need to be fixed and then when they call management they say no. Management tries to pull all sorts of shady moves to charge people illegal fees/ push tenants out. As much as I love my individual apartment I wouldn’t recommend anyone to move into this building Advice to landlord: Get your act together”
— 30 WESTMINSTER ROAD · Brooklyn“Pros: I liked the location Cons: Horrible pests - roaches and mice in unit”
— 30 WESTMINSTER ROAD · Brooklyn“Pros: Large and cheap apartment Cons: Roach infestation. No one listened to us. Never solved. Literally so many of them the exterminator was a dunce too”
— 30 WESTMINSTER ROAD · Brooklyn“Pros: Great location. Super is nice. Cons: The landlord is cheap and has 1 superintendent managing several buildings. Takes forever for something to be fixed. No rodents, but some areas do have roaches. Advice to landlord: Don’t be so stingy - pay for proper repairs rather than cheap bandaid solutions.”
— 15 WESTMINSTER ROAD · Brooklyn“Pros: Close to the park. Spacious apartments. Cons: The water in our apartment was leaving a brown residue. When the super looked at it, he told us it was an issue throughout the building including in his own unit. He blamed the city and said there was nothing he could do. I didn’t buy that, but I asked management to provide a record of how they were advocating on our behalf. They ignored my request. We left the building when it became clear they were either unwilling or unable to resolve the issue. Advice to landlord: Fix you water issue. Respond to serious concerns with compassion and a willingness to do what it takes to solve the issue.”
— 15 WESTMINSTER ROAD · Brooklyn“Pros: Great location next to the park. Cons: Absent management, noisy neighbors in the building and the neighboring building (a man in 20 Westminster shouts, blasts music, and honks an air horn for hours every Sunday), water & structural damage left unattended, poor security, cockroach infestation, leaky pipes, the list goes on. Advice to landlord: Hire qualified workers when renovating to ensure you don’t destroy other tenant’s units in the process, maintain standards for noise levels and cleanliness, fix the keypad so tenants don’t get stuck outside in the cold when it freezes, install security cameras I hallways and especially the mail area (so many stolen packages), turn the heat on more often, etc etc.”
— 30 WESTMINSTER ROAD · Brooklyn“Pros: It’s next to the park, it allows pets Cons: Getting something fixed is terrible, your amazon package will be stolen or opened, some people have had there things stolen when not home(break in), others when moving in. Pest infested apartments some neighbors say it’s awful and management pay for a low price exterminator that comes once every 6 months to spray your apartment and leave. The super will only come fix something after you call him 4+ to remind him or like others have said he prioritizes new tenants so people who have lived there longer have to wait. And if you plan on paying rent by money order mail, if the USPS is having trouble and your payment gets to them late because of USPS you still get charged a late fee. Advice to landlord: Just because the area changed a bit, doesn’t mean you can make things difficult for old tenants just to upscale prices on a awful apartments”
— 15 WESTMINSTER ROAD · Brooklyn“Pros: Cute neighborhood, affordable Cons: Bad management - building problems never fixed, no proper recycling set up, has cockroaches Advice to landlord: Take better care of your tenants”
