“Unit 4A Pros: rent stabilized, gym access, elevator. super is alright. resigning lease and paying rent is simple. you are largely unbothered by management. a man in a desk chair sleeps in the lobby at night to... deter villains? Cons: issues go unaddressed. my window has leaked the entire time i've been here (so i have to assume it's been ongoing since before i got here) and nobody has fixed it despite coming out to look at it multiple times. i've put in a notice about silverfish sightings and no one's responded. the super will come out about simpler things, but not issues that require more than about 10 minutes' work. Walls are made out of tissue paper so you can hear your upstairs neighbors walk, talk, and shower, and sometimes i even hear the girl from a couple floors away practicing her singing. Advice to landlord: Fix small problems before they become larger issues. And get some soundproofing.”

Delivery companies (UPS/FedEx/USPS) tend to leave packages in the hall, which can lead to theft. Advice to landlord: Bring back the door watchman.”
