“Pros: Livrable but bare necessities Cons: Peats, terrible management Advice to landlord: Do better”

“Pros: Electricity works, building is quiet (even if the street noise is not) and the pests issue was limited to the basement in the time I lived there Cons: Hot water takes a long time, no heat at times in winter, pests (roaches) in basement and occassionally first floor. They take care of them but it's still a problem.”

“Pros: Neighborhood is great, and the people in the building are great Cons: Awful management — Super is the worst of the worst, building management unresponsive at best. Most likely mold problems, front door is never secure, or codes are changed last minute”

“Pros: Location, decent kitchen appliances Cons: Extremely loud radiator noise, bad management (doesn’t respond to any complaints like no hot water), laundry not in building, kids smoking pot in the entry way every day, rats in the back yard , building not secure, overpriced rent, poorly done renovations Advice to landlord: Stop scamming people”

“Pros: Renovated unit, washing machine in building Cons: Owners will rip you off for rent and increase by an unethical amount. Roaches/bugs spotted in apartments and hallways are dirty. Washing machines/dryers were broken for months and rat(s) spotted in basement”

“Pros: Good sunlight, not really any pests, spacious closets, renovated apt Cons: Hot water constantly would go out, mgmt company was insanely hard to deal with and barely responded, they will try to get out of returning your security deposit and only gave it back when threatened with legal action”

“Pros: Close to the Q Super is very nice Cons: Landlord is not responsive Heat constantly failed during the winter, especially the coldest weekends Hot water constantly ran out Rats in the basement When it rained, the ceiling in the lobby area would leak At one point during a heavy rain there was water cascading down the stairwell and the fire department had to be called because the building management was unresponsive”

“Pros: It is in a great neighborhood. Lots of groceries, pharmacies, restaurants. It’s a block from the Q train. Easy walk to Central Park. Great neighborhood for children as the school district is desirable and St Catherine’s park is large and safe. Cons: Built in 1884. Old water pipes, steep stairs that are higher than usual stairs. Advice to landlord: Garbage collection area needs to be redesigned. Too many mice and large rats. It also needs better lighting in that area.”

“Unit 4RS Pros: -renovations look nice, but are meaningless with poor management. Cons: -new ownership using scare tactics to force good tenants out of the building -ROACHES -new owners irresponsible with funds and refuse to return deposits, only returned after filing a claim in court for it. -hallways are a mess and smell awful -trash area is infested with all kinds of rodents and is very dark and scary to visit during night. -rent increase over 150% -landlords will not communicate via written communication, instead would rather show up at late hours of the night and scare tenants into moving out. Adult male “landlords” using scare tactics on young girls living alone, showing up past 9pm on a weeknight and walking into the apartment to discuss the increase in rent. Advice to landlord: Beware of many tenants taking legal action against you.”

“Unit 4C Pros: Newly redone bathrooms and kitchen Cons: With the small rooms and heating poles, it would get unbearably hot in the winter, so I had to leave my AC unit in year round, which wasted a lot of electricity. Also no washer/dryer in the building.”

“Pros: The Apartments are pretty nice and renovated Cons: The heat is horrendous in this building. We’ve had so many problems with hot water and heat. We’re currently freezing in our apartment and the super never responds to us. Advice to landlord: Make the apartment livable”
