“Unit 47 Pros: only good thing was the people in the neighborhood are friendly. only ONE of the supers is always outside cleaning and working you can definitely see he cares and puts in a lot of time. Cons: units are not clean, there’s is mold in bathroom and kitchen and laundry units, you can hear rats inside the walls all times of the night, the unit itself is updated just really not taken care of by management. Advice to landlord: i understand it’s nyc but a little tlc can go a long way…”
— 127 WEST 141 STREET · Manhattan“Unit 53 Pros: Water pressure. Some of the neighbors. Cons: Inadequate heat/hot water, roaches, mice, mold, leaks, migrants smoking in the stairwells, sex offenders registered to their "supportive housing program" addresses an not the building, broken front doors, ceiling collapses, broken elevator, uneven floors, 🏍️ 🏍️ s chained to the front stairs. Leaking stairs. Rent overcharges and incompetent rude superintendents who do not speak English and insult people in Spanish. Advice to landlord: Consider hairikari, make the world a better place”
— 127 WEST 141 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Friendly neighbors, affordable, large apartments, reasonable management Cons: The radiators are very loud”
— 127 WEST 141 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Nice super. Clearly overworked however. Cons: Constant theft. Rude, ghetto, and unprofessional management. Constant loud noises, wake up to honking every morning because people double park and don’t move their cars in time for people to go to work. Zero pest control. Neighbors smoking and doing drugs in the hallways and stairwells. They are trying to gentrify the building but there are still problems regardless.”
— 127 WEST 141 STREET · Manhattan“Unit 53 Pros: Location in Harlem Cons: Trash, Dirty Room, etc”
— 127 WEST 141 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Good neighbors. Beautiful pre-war construction and details. Cons: Dirty common area, terrible super, Managment is negligent, being sued by Tenants Association. Advice to landlord: This building isn’t just a line on your revenue sheet. Humans live here and you need to treat them with respect. Get out of the real estate business or else get a soul, because your actions are evil.”
— 127 WEST 141 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: The neighbors and tenants in the building are friendly and respectful. The building has potential Cons: Poor maintenance, management ignores request. Guardian Realty Property Management illegally overcharges rent. Pest are everywhere; you can hear them crawling in the walls at night. Advice to landlord: Respect your tenants; Gwt the pest and rodents under control, respond to maintenance request in a timely manner.”
— 127 WEST 141 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: - Apt itself isn’t bad - Location isn’t horrible for commuting Cons: -Lots of rats in the walls. Lots. I actually for the first year thought the neighbor above me had a couple of chihuahuas running across the floor all night. -Neighbors that are disrespectful playing loud obnoxious music turned up all the way until 2.00a. You can hear and feel the music 3 floors down and across the building. It has to be illegal but no one addresses it. In fact, I am pretty sure neighbors have moved out because of them. You think the owner would nip that in the butt, to help their reputation and income level. -neighbors are allowed to leave garbage in the halls because they are too lazy to walk it to the garbage, but they are smart enough to not want it inside their apt. So the hallway floor serves the building needs. super does nothing. Still not sure who he actually is. - don’t expect to get mail. 30% chance you actually get any deliveries other than bills. Everything else gets stolen. Even letters, not just packages. Advice to landlord: - Get rid of rats. Seriously. - get a super that helps neighbors instead of hiding from them. - do something about noise violations. It’s as bad as rats running in the hall.”
