101 LAFAYETTE PLAZA CORP · avg 3.5 ★★★★★ · New York City
“Pros: Great views, very quiet, friendly neighbors, lots of dogs Cons: It is an older building, so it does require constant maintenance. The newer management company (and the super) have been much better about proactive upkeep and communication.”
— 101 LAFAYETTE AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: Great location, no noise issues, the front desk staff are lovely and friendly, my unit itself has great natural lighting Cons: There have been a lot of pest issues since I've moved in and have been hearing the same from other units. There are units in the building that are poorly maintained and are infested and it is causing issues in the whole building. The co-op management company's dedicated extermination company is not very helpful. He refuses to do anything more than lightly spray. Until the whole building's pest issue is managed, it will continue to impact everyone.”
— 101 LAFAYETTE AVENUE · Brooklyn“Unit 7d Pros: Small apartments but I felt so lucky living there. It's central to everything BK has to offer with the park so close by. The apartments were well maintained and full of character, the doormen were so lovely and friendly, packages were always secure and accounted for. Cons: It's a very old building! There can be smells on garbage day and pests in the laundry room. Sometimes management could be hard to reach.”
— 101 LAFAYETTE AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: You got 1 good doorman in the day and 1 good cleaner everything else un acceptable Cons: I can't believe my eyes they have one person doing everything the super never around always have other people doing his work then trying to charge us for things that are free from the building not acceptable.”
— 101 LAFAYETTE AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: Great exterior and neat architectural features inside. Cons: The management company is horrendous and won't assist with resolving any issues. This is problematic since walls are thin and neighbors are noisy (many parents crammed into a studio with a kid, or otherwise noisy younger couples). Advice to landlord: Find more courteous/respectful tenants for the building.”
— 101 LAFAYETTE AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: Spacious apartments with original steel casement windows Cons: Old pipes occasionally give brown water and leaks that trickle through apartments from higher floors to the lower ones.”
— 101 LAFAYETTE AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: Excellent location close to all trains 24/7 Doorman Cons: Unresponsive maintenance, issues with fixing things in a timely manner Advice to landlord: Please ask for no smoking”
— 101 LAFAYETTE AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: Community, location, views Cons: Laundry in basement”
