“Unit 1A Pros: Living room was huge and room sizes were decent. close to lots of fast food places. Cons: Very noisy. Directly above hotel chantelle so we got no sleep between thursday-sunday. People would pee outside the main gate and draw graffiti over it. We also had roaches in the houses and the super didn't do anything about it. No sense of security too. Advice to landlord: Please do frequent pest control and take measures for ensuring safety.”
— 101 DELANCEY STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Close to shops, bars, and restaurants Cons: Poor response from management on replacing items, trash collection, and handling complaints.”
— 101 DELANCEY STREET · Manhattan“Unit 20 Pros: Our unit was updated and clean. We did not have mice and only 3 roaches over the span of 2 years. Cons: The noise is absolutely awful. You will not sleep on Fridays or Saturdays because of the nightclub next door. The street is a hellscape. Rent was insane for the size of the apartment. The trash room was infested with rats.”
— 101 DELANCEY STREET · Manhattan“Pros: location is alright Cons: loud, heat barely worked, flooding issues constantly Advice to landlord: sell the building”
— 101 DELANCEY STREET · Manhattan“Unit 17 Pros: In a great area, okay rooftop, decent window sizes, has dishwashers. Cons: Absolutely too loud because of 2 clubs that blast Abba to the high heavens every weekend. Water pressure for toilets is terrible and made guests feel so bad. Gets super hot in the summer. Neighbors rudely leave trash/food containers on their floors and near stairs instead of taking it down. Rats sometimes visit around the garbage. It's a steep walk-up that gave me vertigo and no one cleans the stairs when something is spilt. Maintenance took forever to fix things when I first moved in. Packages were easily stolen. Rooftop alarm is sketchy and strangers who do not live in the building often find a way in to sleep on the rooft or knock on doors at night. Advice to landlord: Get better windows to insulate the noise and fix the toilet water pressure. Maybe actually talk to the people who leave trash all year round on the floors. Care about your tenants.”
— 101 DELANCEY STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Good location I guess Cons: They are awful at listening to complaints, we had a toilet that overflowed a broken closet door two windows that won’t close no hot water and no heat in the middle of winter, they wouldn’t come fix anything until we called 311. Now it’s the middle of winter still and our heat still doesn’t work. Way too much money to live in a piece of garbage building. Also you will never get any sleep on the weekends because there are two clubs surrounding it. Advice to landlord: Listen to your tenants and fix the building issues, shouldn’t be that hard. Also lower the rent because this is ridiculous for these conditions.”
— 101 DELANCEY STREET · Manhattan“Unit 17 Pros: the matinence man was actually really nice even though they never would let him know about issues going on the building Cons: The bars blast music until 4am so if you are deaf this is the perfect place to live. They raised our rent 1300 dollars making it 5100 dollars to live above a bar. They did not fix any issues in the building. The super changed like 4 times and he was not a live in super. There were homeless people sleeping in the building on multiple occasions and nothing was done. When moving the buildings front door was shattered for a week and replaced with cardboard. There was also pee and vomit inside the the “lobby” of the building. If you love rodents this is the place for you. Nothing will be fixed. There was no heat in the winter. The landlords are slum lords to say the least Advice to landlord: Be decent human beings and care about the people who pay your paychecks”
