“Pros: Location is phenomenal and rent is on the lower end for the area but it’s not worth sacrificing your mental health and standard of living. Cons: Not clean or well maintained. Leaks, mold, pests, random holes and cracks everywhere. Packages constantly stolen, janky lock on the front door Plumbing is always backed up so heat barely works half the time. Garbage and recycling is just a feee for all in front of the building. Cherry on top is that the landlord is an asshole (and infamous for being one. Many who live or have lived in the area knows his rep and sends sympathy when i tell them who mine is).”

“Pros: Location is great Cons: Old apartment Not renovated All water systems connected - can’t use toilet / sink when shower is on No cleaning of common area/entryway/stairway No doorbell Roof leaks when it rains heavy Advice to landlord: Upgrade kitchen, paint the apartment, turn heat on more”

We call ours Mickey Zero security as the front building door doesn't close/lock Packages being stolen Advice to landlord: He ain't gonna look as he's got 15 other buildings in W'burg lmao”

“Pros: The location was great. Overall the space was nice too - had a shared apartment. Nothing fancy or new but god enough if you decorate well Cons: When I lived there in 2020 the music from the restaurant next door was very loud and annoying. The apartment room I rented also had very dirty walls I had to repaint myself. And the landlord was really unresponsive and unhelpful with anything (not sure if it is the same landlord there now)”

“Pros: The location is perfect, right in the heart of Williamsburg. The layout of the apts in the carriage are nice There's a nice grape vine out back The landlord is responsive in particular about heat or plumbing Cons: There's a roach problem Paper-thin walls, even across the hall Front building lock doesn't work properly The trash isn't kept off the sidewalk and many tenants just throw trash around The plumbing is very loud The radiators don't work well Advice to landlord: Clean up the buildings and give renters specific places for trash and packages. And exterminate!”
