Unit 1445 Pros: Front desk and building staff are friendly and proactive, with very responsive maintenance service. Multiple rooftop areas offering diverse views. Solid apartment choice with no major deal-breaking issues. Practical, well-designed floor plans. Well-equipped fitness center with both strength and cardio areas. Refrigerator capacity larger than Enclave near Columbia University but slightly smaller than Jackson Park in Queens Plaza. Kitchen comes with a gas stove. Rockrose leasing office is right downstairs, making lease discussions and paperwork very convenient. Short walk to multiple LIC subway stations and surrounded by plenty of amenities including Trader Joe’s, Teso, Foodcellar, and City Acres. No extra amenity fees required. Cons: A/C unit can be loud and sometimes struggles with airflow, making the room feel warm even when cooling. No swimming pool (though few buildings in LIC offer one, so this is understandable). Elevators in the west tower run very fast to serve higher floors but can feel slightly unsteady. The 39th-floor rooftop seems to have no Wi-Fi, and outlets on the 2nd-floor lounge are limited with occasional odors from nearby restrooms. Maybe there isn’t a clearly designated public area ideal for focused work or study.
