Pros: Nice in the begining. Offered me some free furniture and made me feel at home. Basement looks very nice Cons: This woman is miserable. She purposely makes noise above you, pulling chairs and tables endlessly for no reason, only because she knows that it irritates you. Her son runs and stomps up and down the stairs over and over and she tells him absolutely nothing at all. He stays on the phone for hours talking loud as if no one if occupying and paying to live downstairs. 2:00am in the morning and he is still speaking loudly, right next the door that leads down into the ILLEGAL BASEMENT that I was inhabiting. The advertisement for this apartment claimed that you would have your own entrance, but that is a LIE because your door is right next to theirs and you will hear everything and have no privacy. I was told that the exit would not be used by them but behind my back she has used it and woken me up many times. I never missed a payment of rent and I was quiet as can be yet this is how I was treated. This woman is VERY PETTY. All this is done out of retaliation because I asserted myself one time and told her that I knew how to use the thermostat when she thought that I did not. I complained about the heat and she insisted that she come downstairs (around 11pm when I was tired from a 12hr shift of work) to try and use the thermostat the same way that I did. The land lord can only come downstair from 9-5 and with a proper heads up, but no, she would not listen when I said lets save it for the following day. She sent me a tutorial on how to use it and I told her that I did not need it and that is when (and on christmas day) she told me that I would have to leave. She never gave me a lease, even though she said she would. If she ever tries to rent this unit out again, I strongly urge the individual considering to rent it to turn away and find something better. I almost died in August due to my liver disease and needed to be watched/taken care of after being released from the hospital. She tried to take advantage of me by threating to raise the rent and change my due day for the rent, claiming that the utilities bill was rising but I was in the dark and unable to move for several days. She leaves her garbage outside for WEEKS without disposing of it!!! Avoid her at all cost. Advice to landlord: Teach your kid some respect
