Unit #1 Pros: I lived on the first floor and the place was huge. It was a 3 bedroom apartment with a good-sized kitchen and a huge living/dining room. It was a great area with great transportation and nice neighbors down the street from a school. Cons: The landlord lives in the basement and is a creepy, loser. He only rents to young women who don't know the laws and was mad that the realtor had found 3 women in the older 20s-40s to move in. He didn't meet us until after we had signed the lease. We asked for the place to be painted and cleaned. Neither was done and he left several things from the previous tenants that we had to get rid of for him. He never called ahead to come into the apartment, which is illegal. We never left each other alone with him there because he made inappropriate jokes often. When we left, he came up with a bunch of reasons why he couldn't give us back our security deposit that were all lies. He said it was filthy when the place was scrubbed and the carpets were shampooed when we left. If he wasn't there, this would have been the best place ever. Advice to landlord: Follow the law. Don't make s3xually inappropriate jokes. Just don't be a jerk.
