Unless you are accustomed to sleeping inside a bell, under an organ or in some other painfully noisy location, this is not a smart choice of habitation. The noise is fairly constant until about 5 AM on every night other than Sunday and especially so on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The building itself is fine, standard East Village walk-up. But honestly, I had to invest in a pair of headphones designed for construction workers and Nascar pit crews in order to sleep.
