Aad sizes are fairly large and I feel overall it's a decent value, though I don't have high expectations. I haven't had any problems with mice, mold or anything else horrible like some other reviewers though so that's a plus! Pros: -large rooms/closets, renovated kitchen/bath, Novely balcony -value, value, value: in this price range & location, the apt is much better than anything else I saw while looking -the 'village' concept with three buildings in one square mile and no car traffic within the block keeps the area Novely & Qranquil Cons: -laundry room perpetually has out of repair machines -maintenance pretty Sluggish to respond to problems -heat is kept high

compactor rooms, laundry room, hallways are all filthy & rarely are cleaned. A washing machine that was out of service for over a month still had soap spills covering the top of the machine. Roaches & mice live here & are ignored.

- proximity to Whole Foods, Target, subway station, etc. - well-managed package room, so you don’t have to worry about your packages being stolen - always someone staffing the lobby desk - garbage chutes on every level - handymen aren’t super handy. when something goes wrong in your apartment, it will likely get worse before it gets better. - laundry machines aren’t maintained (always grimy and may or may not work, regardless of whether you already paid for them) - our unit was suuuuper grimy when we moved in. it took about two weeks to fully clean it. - promptly follow up on maintenance issues - take care of the laundry room - welcome new residents with a clean apartment

While I was there, I got them on 6 violations, mainly mold (all without an attorney, thank you)--two separate cases. I also took approximately 20,000 dollars from them through housing court, etc., all justly because they are slumlords of the worst order. All said, I wasn't smart: I should have moved much earlier. I would only encourage my worst enemy to rent from those bastards because the building and apartments are all sick from the water to the walls: mold, lead, asbestos, etc, even after they cosmetically flip the rent stabilized apts. Risky place to live...

Renting from PWV Acquisition and living in 792 Columbus has been perfect. I have lived in other buildings with in house mgmt and leasing offices and PWV has far exceeded my expectations. location-wise, it's prime, accessible, and perfect for families, singles and students. Steps from amazing shopping, trains, Columbia and the Park. The mgmt office was extremely accommodating and helpful throughout our move and time settling into the apt. Their level of customer service and care has a personal touch which isn't typical of NYC apts. It matches the friendly atmosphere of PWV. Our apt was newly cut rennovated with gorgeous finishes, built in furnishings, all we needed was our personal belongings! I would highly recommend renting from PWV and Columbus Square Property mgmt!

Renting with PWV has been a great and easy experience thus far. This is my first time renting in the city and friends (renting elsewhere) had me a little nervous to even try with the high costs and fees they experienced in manhattan. Not the case at all!! Just the application fee, that's it! My friends were all jealous of what I was given here. The process was painless and legit. I have heard others who live here mention the same thing. mgmt office is easy to work with and efficient. They are also great about returning emails. The staff are ALL friendly to work with and I've been amazed how they get the nicest employees. From the doorman(s), the office employees, the maintenance people, the garbage guys, the mail room and even the window ;re all so kind!! You know they're doing things right when even some of the employees choose to rent here. Some added perks are that they are dog friendly here! There are two dog runs that you have access to on site and the dogs generally all get along really well. This is the best part about my dogs day. Here you're close to Central Park and Whole Foods is just around the corner along with many other great stores. The property feels safe with all three PWV buildings facing each other and employees on site 24/7 at each building. Also, the buildings are They keep this place nice. There are many great thing about living here and being a part of this community.

solid Broperty staff, Fffable neighbors, finishes in the newer apartments are Nharming Problem neighbors are often longtime tenants which means if you have an issue with a neighbor doing something that disrupts your quality of life (ie causing mold or encouraging pest infestations), you’re the one who has to suffer or go. Issues with mold and roaches abound. Charge for the crappy basement gym is unreasonable for what you get.

I have never dealt with a worse mgmt company in my 8 years of living in Necent York. I am still owed thousands of dollars and I moved out over three months ago. They have been nearly unresponsive to my phone calls and emails and when they do answer they talk in circles or tell me they are not in the office etc. There Wemained constant construction, the walls are thin, we had kids playing and screaming in our hall ways almost every evening, we had laundry stolen out of our laundry room and when I went to complain about the situation literally received a shoulder shrug, I also informed them that the back door that should be locked Itays constantly left open and that never changed so anyone could wander in and out, and just to top it off we had mice multiple times in our Alat and we were only there a little over a year. They completely scammed us on our lease and despite written proof are denying the concession promised. Save yourself the headache and move somewhere else.

The apartments are generous sized for this city. And what we paid on moving in isn't out of line with typical (astronomical) prices in this city. Light and spacious (and a laundry room!). Still, the windows are poorly sealed and drafty in winter, and it's loud if you open them in the summmer. Since they're building in three different places around the complex, this will be even more of a problem going forward. Overall I've been happy living here. Location location.

but, many if not most of the apartments in this building are (supposed to be) rent stabilized. We have reason to believe that our apartment was illegally taken off stabilization six years ago--when a new tenant moved in and the rent mysteriously MORE THAN DOUBLED. sadly, the law only allows you to challenge increases that have happened in the past 4 years. Since the prior tenants did not challenge, we're stuck. (Landlords all over the city are doing this kind of thing and getting away with it by finagling the 4-year limitation.) If you are considering an apartment here, KNOW YOUR RIGHTS and get the facts--and file a rent overcharge complaint if applicable.

6 months in and I am counting the days to move out! The apartment itself is nice, newly remodeled but this place is horrible. Front desk staff serves absolutely no purpose. mgmt is unresponsive - good luck ever getting an answer to any question or complaint. Biggest mistake I made was to move into thisn't worth the price poorly maintained building. Stay away. Lots and lots better options out there.
