Been living here since last year, and I can't imagine living anywhere else. I live on a high floor in one of the apartments facing Madison Square Park and it's really good. Staff are fairly well organized and attend to everything quickly. Neighborhood is amazing, everything is within walking distance. Basically zero noise. Really good gym with classes daily. Hoping I get to stay here a long time!

I have lived in the building for 3 years and it keeps getting worse and worse. The most disappointing element- is the management. They are unresponsive, will go months without fixing major issues like building AC or elevators and do not abide by legal documents or leases. It is quite astonishing how they get away with whatever they want. DO NOT MOVE IN HERE!!!

I just moved in here, and I am very happy with the experience so far. I noticed the reviews were very bad, so I had to post a positive review to add my own perspective. The team is very professional, and the leasing office honored all of their promises for my move-in.

Poorly designed building - uneven floors, old appliances, a general air on shabby. The staff is highly unprofessional. Also a complete lack of empathy - how are they working in the service industry? There were loud (really loud) construction noises for a few years - we were just expected to deal with it.

Leasing agent terrible at responding and never picks up the phone. The management tries to raise rent every year even though rent is already very high. Very disorganized management company. The units facing 6th avenue are also very noisy. Constant stream of sirens, honking, street noise.

I moved into the Vanguard Chelsea a couple months ago and it has been such a treat. The entire staff is so accommodating and friendly, from the leasing office to the front desk to the maintenance staff. Everyone always has a smile on their face and is eager to assist in any way they can. My apartment was also recently renovated and looks AMAZING! Nicer than anything I've seen in the area. The floors are great and I love the new kitchen. I've even had friends visit who loved my place so much that they are now looking to move in to the building! I'm keeping my eyes peeled for available apartments because the whole building is practically booked. Fingers crossed!

Anyone else think it's super weird that there are no reviews for a loooong time and now, all of the sudden, four EXTREMELY positive reviews (that all sound like ads) in one week? Welcome aboard, rental company's new intern! You're doing a completely transparent but very enthusiastic job.

I have lived here for six months and can recommend it wholeheartedly. The staff is very professional, courteous and helpful. The building is maintained in excellent condition and has the Platinum Designation as a green building. It is a pleasure to call the Vanguard Chelsea my home.

Ive lived here for 6 years and love it. The location is perfect - so close to West Village, Meat Packing, Flatiron, and Gramercy; not to mention the many trains makes it easy to get uptown, downtown, and even to Jersey. The staff is friendly and helpful. The building is modern and always clean. Ive lived in many buildings in my years in the city, and this is by far the best.
