Upper Harlem around the Bradhurst area is quiet, residential, and rooted in Black American history. The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture is nearby, Colonial Park (now Jackie Robinson Park) offers green space, and the blocks feel unhurried compared to lower Manhattan.
