Unit 2C Pros: The apartment is really nice and the bedrooms are relatively large. The common areas are well kept. Cons: We have been in a rent strike for some time. Our gas broke in Nov. 2019 and it took a year and our rent striking to get them to begin to fix it. We have gas now but are still in rent strike to finish the negotiations.

Pros: Low rent, nicely renovated units, proximity to playgrounds and river, close to food stores Cons: No gas for 2 years, noisey disrespectful neighbors, criminal neighbors never evicted, unresponsive management, advertised as laundry on site but laundry broken and never fixed or replaced, very dirty and ill-kept common spaces, smoking in building never dealt with, no amenities like dishwasher or laundry, hot water is a gamble, long walks to A, C, and 1 Advice to landlord: Get your shit together

Pros: Neighbors are great! supportive, funny, helpful, and kind Cons: Landlords are unresponsive, the building had been without an oven/stove for over a year. We called over 50 times, reported to 311 and finally we held back rent and brought in lawyers did they respond by starting the necessary gas work...holes in walls no gas... Advice to landlord: Be responsive to tenants asking for help. Your investment is our home especially during this time of Covid your neglectfulness seems cruel.

Pros: -The super Aladdin was really nice and helpful. Always willing to help us get things done in the apartment. -huge shower in the renovated 1bd we had, all new appliances, etc -exposed brick -elevator Cons: -a few months in to our lease, we were told we wouldn't have gas for a couple weeks while they fixed something -led to us not having gas for the rest of the year lease (amidst a pandemic too) -just provided us with hot plates when the shut down started -there was a petition for some rent relief (pre pandemic) due to loss of gas for so many months, and it got filled out and taken in I believe, and nothing happened...paid $1750 for a 1 bd for a whole year without the ability to use my oven or stove for more than half of that time. -never met or talked to Susan Advice to landlord: Offer $$ off the rent if you can't provide a basic amenity for more than a month .....
