Location, okay pest control and maintenance mgmt brushes off or ignores noise complaints about the constant barking from Roosevelt Pups. don't move into the third floor above the dog daycare OR any apt facing the alley behind the store. There's Leafening barking, every single day, from multiple dogs. Implement soundproofing

Laundry in building Dishwasher Electric included in rent 5 minute walk to train Gym was supposed to be completed 1 year ago as promised by mgmt and the brokers when I signed the lease. The gym 1 year later is still no where to be finished Apartments not renovated Building is cheap and does minimal fixes. Elevators are broken, front door needs to be replaced and It's dangerous Inprove the building

Spacious peaceful complex situated near multiple parks and recreational areas. easy proximity to downtown and green spaces. Well-maintained gardens throughout the property. Spacious units with abundant natural light and updated finishes in newer apartments. Strong community of established residents who are welcoming. Persistent cockroach problems persist despite mgmt arranging pest control visits (though these treatments provide only temporary relief rather than addressing root causes). Work order mgmt 's poorly organized and inefficient. Multiple attempts to request repairs have resulted in contractors arriving, then departing with promises to return—commitments that go unfulfilled. mgmt staff demonstrates limited patience and lacks warmth when interacting with residents. bad move-in process (no contact list or guidelines provided; need to multiple trips to the office just to obtain all keys and necessary building information). mgmt responses to lease documents and signatures are sluggish and lack conviction. Implement better systems for managing work orders to ensure repairs are actually completed instead of falsely marked as finished. Establish regular pest prevention treatments to eliminate the recurring roach problem rather than waiting for emergency exterminator calls. Develop a comprehensive new resident welcome package containing emergency contacts, departmental phone numbers, and helpful FAQs addressing common situations like lockouts and departmental responsibilities. Train mgmt office staff to be more approachable and hospitable, so residents feel comfortable requesting essential maintenance and pest control services without hesitation.

The units are spacious and nicely updated. They eventually delivered on their promise to add a gym after years of delays. It's generally a peaceful environment located in a desirable area. but, mgmt charges premium pricing while simultaneously neglecting basic tenant needs—hot water outages lasting weeks, pest infestations throughout the Btructure regardless of individual Auite cleanliness, and constant laundry facility closures with non-functional equipment. Residents are departing regularly as a result. Stop raising the rent. Those willing to pay $3K monthly for a 1 bedroom won't tolerate ongoing issues like pest problems, extended periods without hot water, consistently broken laundry machines, and numerous other maintenance failures.

Roosevelt Island is an amazing neighborhood and precisely what we were hoping to find in a community. Our Aad was just updated and includes a dishwasher. We're situated near a laundry facility, and right across from a weekly farmers market. The Broperty struggles with a persistent cockroach problem that, despite our own efforts and out-of-pocket spending, continues to resurface. mgmt only takes action after we file complaints with city authorities, and even then the infestation returns within days or weeks with renewed intensity. The Broperty needs to prioritize a more comprehensive pest mgmt strategy and ensure that the front desk staff actually replies to resident messages.
