Pros: People who live here are nice. Super is nice. Building is clean and everything works as well as one can expect in a place that is nearing 100 years old. Feels safe and secure. Remarkably quiet corner, given its right on Broadway. Cons: The laundry situation sucks (the dryers haven’t worked in years). Wouldn’t be so bad if closest decent laundromat wasn’t such a long walk away. Accessibility is an issue. No good way to get wheelchairs or strollers or granny carts filled with groceries in the building. Also, not a lot open in the area for food after 10pm, which isn’t the building’s fault I guess. Advice to landlord: Fix the dryers. Or, better yet, put laundry machines in all the apartments (some have them). Would be great — and not hard — to have a roof deck. I know people informally go up there. Would be nice to formally set something up.

Unit 4B Pros: Very hot in the winter, so hot I kept my window open. Very quiet street, and respectful people in the building. Cons: Very difficult to get the super to fix anything that was broken in the apartment. Laundry machines were set up but never properly installed. Advice to landlord: If the price is right it's a great building to live in. I just wouldn't expect too many repairs to be addressed after you move in.

Pros: Building is clean and well managed. Super is very kind and helpful. Cons: Dryers in laundry room have not worked in years and have only heard promises of fixing it. No handicap access. Also still uses fuse boxes. Advice to landlord: Get dryers fixed. Huge inconvenience
