The staff was quick to respond whenever problems arose. Common areas were consistently maintained and garbage disposal was never a concern. Since our unit overlooked the rear courtyard, noise from the street wasn't something we had to worry about. The bedroom shared a wall with the plumbing and we dealt with roaches emerging from wall gaps during the warmer months. The building did arrange monthly pest control visits, but the issue seemed rooted in the aged infrastructure and plumbing system. The space itself is also quite compact. Our bedroom could really only accommodate a bed plus one modest item like a small dresser, desk, or bookshelf. Beyond that, there's limited room. For someone starting out in NYC or looking for an entry-level place, this apartment works well.
