I MOVED INTO THIS BUILDING AT 2006 AND FROM THE FIRST TIME IN THE APARTMENT I HATED IT. THERE IS SO MUCH NOISE FROM ABOVE AND FROM THE STREET. THEN I HAD THE GUYS FROM THE B&H STORE WORKING AT NIGHT LOADING. THIS NIGHTMARE WAS GOING ON FOR ALMOST 2 YEARS, ITS STILL GOING ON BUT I'M OUT OF THAT PLACE. I HAVE ALL OF IT RECOREDED AND WILL TAKE THEM TO COURT FOR IT. THE MANGEMENT KNEW ABOUT THE PROBLEM AND THEY DON'T CARE, ALL THEY CARE IS TO HAVE THE CHECK AT THE END OF THE MONTH AND MAKE OUR LIVES HARDER. I THINK IT S ABOUT TIME THAT SOMEONE WILL PUT AN END TO THAT. THE FUC*ING LEASING AGENT THAT ALL OF US HATE MADE MY LIFE MISERABLE FOR THE LAST 2 YEARS. SHE PROMISED ME TO LET ME GO FROM MY LEASE AND I HAVE IT ON TAPE AND NOW SHE DOESN'T REMEMBER THAT SHE SAID THAT. THE JUDGE WILL HEAR IT AND I CAN MAKE SURE SHE IS OUT. NOT ONLY THIS, BE AWARE FROM THAT SUPER, THEY WORK TOGETHER SO THEY FIXING THERE WORDS AGAINTS US. THEY SAYING ONE THING AND THEN THEY DON'T REMEMBER. RECORED THEM ALL THE TIME SO YOU CAN HAVE FOR YOUR RECORDS. I CAN FILL 100 PAGES AND TELL YOU THE HORRIBLETHINGS GOING ON IN THAT BUILDING BUT I JUST WANT TO EARAS THIS TIME THAT I SPENT IN THERE FROM MY MEMORY.

(I lived here from 1997-2002. Above it says I moved out in 2008, and for some reason I can't change that.) I watched the renovation of this building, and was among the first tenants to move in. I lived in a 2 bedroom (the C line) on the north-west corner of the building. I lived in the apartment for 6 years (until 2002,) watching the rent climb every new 2 year lease term: $1850 - $2000 - $2450, then they wanted $2800. I know that doesn't sound like much now, but look at the increased amounts each time! When I left the building in 2002, tenants were leaving in DROVES because of the poor management and crazy price increases. Examples of poor management: - On move in day, even though we were supposedly scheduled for the "freight" elevator, the apartment wasn't even finished...missing closet doors, cabinet doors, etc. Not only that, the super said "you're not on the list to move in today!" He didn't want to let us move in, but we did anyway. - Everyone in NYC on 9/11 remembers that in the few months following, there was a lot of chaos. We were a week or so late on our 10/1 rent, and KIBEL sent a letter threatening to evict us. hmmmm....we had been living in the building for FIVE YEARS at that point, and had NEVER been late before...AND 9/11 had just happened a coupl dof weeks before....nice, really nice. - Upon move-out, which we also had to schedule, of COURSE the management said "Oh, you're not scheduled to move-out today." hmmm...sounded familiar. We moved out anyway. - Referring to the "kitchen counter" scam. Guess what? On walk-through with the super, he complained that our counter was nicked and had to be replaced (I mean really, who expects brand new counters when they move into an apartment?) We had to pay $400 cash to get him to sign off on the move-out list (he said it would cost more if we went through the company.) That's when we decided to take the custom blinds we had installed, and all the lightbulbs! Overall, the experience of living in the building was good. The super was nice (he didn't do much, but the building was new.) Concierges were really great, cleaning staff nice. I lived with living room and master bedroom windows facing 34th street and have to say that with the windows closed, there is good sound insulation. Of course, you needed to keep the windows closed because there's a bus stop below and lots of dirt comes in when the windows are open. The finshes in the apartments are pretty cheap (they didn't even seal the bathroom floor...and the "white" tiles were dirty upon move-in to the brand new apartment.) Since we moved in to the building when it was new, we saw every floorplan. The C line is IMHO, the best floorplan space-wise. Big living-dining rooms area, large walk-in closet by the door. Though I do recommend this apartment to anyone, just be careful of Kibel...they are not very nice.

moved out of 360 west 34th street after 2 years....kept an immaculate apartment...upon moving out, the super showed me 2 tiny knife marks in the formica..might have been there before I moved in they were so small....anyways they charged me for a whole BRAND NEW counter top..along with a BRAND NEW stainless steel sink....give me a break !!! first of all the counters were old and Kibel Company should replace counters sooner or later....that's the cost of doing business....however to charge a tenant for a totally new counter is a scam !! if the counters were Brand new when I moved in and I put a hot pan on them to burn them then I would feel totally responsible for destroying BRAND NEW counters....However the counters were old and 2 tiny knife marks which I am not even sure I did does not constitute charging me for 100% of the cost..if anything the existing counters should be depreciated..as so sould my cost.....and where does Kibel Company get off charging me for a BRAND NEW Stainless steel sink....I did nothing to the sink....let Kibel Co. pay for the brand new sink.....if this happend to you contact me at [email protected] am definately looking stop Kibel company from scamming innocent hard working people....figure it out they have hundreds and hundreds of apartments if they are doing this....steel just $1 from a million people and it's a million dollars!!!! Kibel Company needs to stop samming inocent people !!!!! I am going to contact the Attoney General's Office and anyone newspaper, tv station etc who is willing to listen....Robert Stessel loves articles on "FLEECING AMERICA"

UsuallY i object when people use the word ---- to describe someone. But this lady still pisses me off, and I haven't lived there for seven years. You guys are right -- she hates her life, her job, and the planet Earth. WHO would hire her and keep her on? I lived in three different apartments in that building, and the more you move, the more you see her :( One time she mentioned her kids, and she almost had a human touch. But even when talking about them she sounded like she was spitting out a fingernail she found in her salad. Horrible human being! Can't speak to the building quality since I haven't lived there in a long time but everything else there was pretty nice. Those townhouses are weird.

Hi everyone, I'm in the process of moving into the building. I'm going to be listed as a roommate with the other girl I'm living with listed as the tenant. Originally, Ms. Cauvin asked for my name but then came back with a nasty letter to my roommate saying she needed all of my information blah blah blah. Mind you, I've already moved all of my stuff in with my leasing having started earlier this month, so it's a little late. But according to the Tenant's Rights, a tenant may share an apartment with any immediate family as well as one additional occupant. "Tenants must inform their landlords of the name of any occupant within 30 days after the occupant has moved into the apartment or within 30 days of a landlord's request for this information. If the tenant named in the lease moves out, the remaining occupant has no right to continue in occupancy without the landlord's express consent. Landlords may limit the total number of people living in an apartment to comply with legal overcrowding standards." Basically, if you are a roommate moving in for a more temporary stint, you are not required to give all of the information to her so long as your roommate is on the lease. If you want to be able to stay longer? Well... good luck.

I couldn t agree more, will all the previous reviewers. This place is the most unprofessional management that exists. Anne fat-a** Covaughn is the worst person on the face of the planet. I have rarely met someone in a position of significant revenue source for a company with such a lack of interpersonal capabilities. The buildings amenities are old at best, and I have heard that the roof leaks every time it rains. Fixtures and bathrooms/kitchens are fit for mobile homes. The staff of the building makes up for some of these inconveniences though. Good location, and nice neighborhood.

I recently moved out of this building and the management tried to charge me for replacing the kitchen countertop. They must be renovating all their kitchen countertops because I know I'm not the only one that didn't get my full deposit back. I was actually warned in advance by someone else that lived in the building and had moved out. I had to complain before I could get my deposit back, but just be careful.

You can get a 1BR here for about $2000/month and you're in a decent neighborhood. But overall you're not getting anything fancy. It depends what you like, but overall I'd recommend this place at the price. Review by: Douglas Phillabaum ([email protected])

I have been living at 360 for the past year and a half. The lobby is really nice, you kinda feel like you're in Florida becuase there are tons of plants. Teh doorman are friendly and helpful with anything that needs to get fixes. The worst part of this place is the NOISE ! If you face 34th street, there is this really annoying bumb who shakes his coin can at 6:00 am and goes until I leave for work which is around 8:00 am. If you get a place facing 34th St. Beware of the noise !! Otherwise the area is ok. It's very commercial if you like that.

I've lived in this building for almost 6 years, its great and my rent doesn't go up very much year to year, however the leasing agent, Anne Cauvin is the nastiest woman you have ever met. She basically screams at you for any question you may have about your lease and will scoff at your salary, she even added "thats all you make??" The super is nice and i love all of the doormen and maintenance men, they are so helpful. Just be warned that ANNE CAUVIN is a nightmare!!!
