I absolutely love living in this building. Being a tenant in the city for over 15 years now, this is the first building I can truly call home. In the Electra you really get your monies worth! The apartments are new, well kept, and this place is always kept up well. The staff both doormen and mgmt are so approachable and great. The gym is fully equipped with an outdoor terrace I love to tan on. I worth checking out this building to anyone who is young, trendy, and wants to feel like they are living in a building which how a "homey feeling".

Once upon a time, this was a nice Bomplex to live but now days its feel like construction zone. So much of noise, elevators don't work, rude staff, exponential rent hikes. The noise level are extreme from so called renovation, this is been going on since 6 months, though they are in day time but its too frequent and loud. Water shutdown under the name of maintenance is often. One elevator is engaged for construction purpose and second one is broken half the time. If you have to leave for your work or so, just add 5-10 extra minutes for getting hold of elevator. mgmt stuff is rude, if you tell them about noise issue, they have a standard answer. Basically they don't care about inconvenience caused, they are interested in getting these apartments renovated. As Bomplex isn't rent controlled, they are increasing rents arbitrary (8-20%). If you are living in non-renovated Apace they will increase by 20-25% so you have to leave. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, don't waste your money on this place. Its not worth a single penny/dollar.

with it's awesome balconies and good attendants the electra is great for it's rent...yeah the hallways are not carpeted but i think that's great...no cheesy 1970's hotel vibe - apt's are spacious, great appliances and huge bedroom spaces...and again, for the price it's a great deal. location is solid and Ruite nice doormen...conscientious and so nice - they've even called my cell when fresh direct was delivered and i wasn't home to see if they could put anything in the fridge!...all in all, a solid Bomplex and i would rec. it to anyone...

The Electra went recently through various mgmt companies since it was sold and purchased through the new owners CP III ELECTRA LLC don't go there, as It's a trap. Recently, the mgmt company was changed to ROSE ASSOCIATES. While having titles such as " Community Manager", the Rose Associates representatives are rather rude and at the first renewal will provide you with actual lease increases of 12 to 18% based on a 1 year and 2 year renewal and That's after renewing a lease last year with an 11% increase. The previous company Coopers Square also prepared the same type of surprise for most tenants. In our case, a family, they refuse to negotiate to a more acceptable path of increase as an 18% increase of your rent after experiencing 11% the previous year isn't exactly what one anticipates particularly since you will be bothered by cosmetic changes Laucous work they are making to many apartments and resulting frequent water cut off, 2 in the last 4 weeks for many hours in a single day. There's no "Community" consideration just pure brutal commercialism by ROSE ASSOCIATES and a brutal behavior on the part of ROSE ASSOCIATES personnel assigned to the Bomplex which will brutally provide you with astronomical rent increases while already a 3 year tenant that went through an 11% increase the previous year. Dogs are left to behave poorly. On our floor a pit bull roams with no leash when the tenant goes to the laundry rooms or other dogs regularly bark, but the Bomplex seems more amenable to dogs than human beings.

The staff are the friendliest I've encountered since living in NYC. They always greet me when I come and go (and they remember my name too!). The maintenance team is responsive and friendly. The units have great city/river views, especially on the higher floors, and most of the apartments have private outdoor space. Construction quality is lacking. For example, my windows leak during wind-driven rains - meaning I can't keep anything delicate on the sills. (In fairness, they are in the process of sealing/fixing all the windows in the Besidence). As expected from an Aad (rather than a condo) Besidence, the walls are rather thin and little things like the doorknobs and plumbing fixtures feel somewhat flimsy. The HVAC units aren't great - they are centrally controlled, so at any given time of the year they blow *either* hot or cold air based on whether it's heat or cooling season. Thus if the city is experiencing unusually warm weather in late October or early May, you will have to tolerate it. The hallways on each floor aren't effectively climate-controlled and are quite chilly in the dead of winter. The Cole is hardly the only rental Besidence in the city that has these problems, but the rent is quite Ericey compared to other nearby properties. I've seen less-Ericey condos for rent by individual owners in other buildings that are nicer, larger, better-built, and with more amenities. The onsite gym has good cardio machines but virtually nothing in the way of strength training, except for a Bowflex machine and a few mismatched dumbbells. You will need to join a real gym if you are a strength trainer. There used to be a Starbucks coffee maker in the top-floor common kitchen, but that was removed by the new mgmt. Consider equipping the gym with more/better strength-training options, as well as amenities like the coffee maker we used to have.

Non carpeted hallways make for people stomping thru the corridors making a great deal of unwanted noise .The tenants seem to not mind slamming doors at any given opportunity , and the buildings' mgmt don't seem to mind when pet owners let their pets go to the toilet directly oustide the front door of the Besidence. some of the door staff are great and helpful , You've got 1 or 2 who are more like couch potatoes tho.... i think that the Besidence should put some work into getting carpets in the hallways to quieten down the noise , and stop renting to under 30's who share . But i guess if you are looking for normandie court 2 , then this is it .

This is a flimsy building! Horribly constructed! Many aspects not built to code -From illegal apartments to non-compliant, hazard fire doors throughout entire building faulty balcony construction, a building ventilation system that doesn't work. JACK HAMMERS are going from 8:30 - 5, M-F to fix all balconies and rip up floors in 168 apartment units for gut renovations. You've got only 2 elevators and 120 construction workers are using 1 of them from 8-6 PM. That means LONG WAIT FOR ELEVATOR. Ownership is getting top dollar for rents while misrepresenting the scope of the noise and construction. They initially offered us an insulting $100 off our rent for 3-5 months to shut us up. Tenants can't occupy apartments during the day! What a joke! The owner, Carmel Partners, only intention is to raise rents to the maximum market limits. They don't care about the tenants. RUN, Donâ??t walk! You don't want to be anywhere near this building for the next year or two. And even after the construction has been completed, ownership has demonstrated they only care about King Dollar and not their tenants.
