The Chesapeake at 345 east 94Th is a cesspool. Rat will run across lobby with front desk attendant laughing and ignoring, cockroach sitting idle by resident elevator bank are common. We had cockroaches come out by the sprinkler heads in our kitchen. The water outages are often and last for days. The staff is nasty. We regretted moving in from the day after we moved in and fought to get out of the lease. Left within 4 months, the Chesapeake is truly a disgusting hovel. You will live in misery and pay ridiculous prices and regret it if you move in. Be guided accordingly

The Chesapeake located at 345 east 94Th is a disgustingly dirty and trouble ridden property, particularly the 6th floor the building suffers from Fetner properties running thin almost non existent budgeting whereby the leasing staff also doubles as cleaning staff and the front desk attendant doubles as garbage staff and porters The building is riddled with rats and cockroaches also the plumbing particularly on the 6th floor is problematic with constant toilet clogs and sewage leaks and floods in fact the entire 6th floor flooded several apartments with raw sewage Also the building is in the process of converting to gas so there was 9 months of heat and water outages also the building is on a block which is deemed to be unsafe by the neighborhood residents

DO NOT MOVE HERE! This property is absolutely terrible. Enjoy luxury prices for incredibly poor services. ACs old and broken, water shut offs without notice, noise and constant construction, smokers paradise, rude maintenance that don't listen and yell , etc. Enjoy your hot NYC summer when they refuse to replace your 20 year old AC (that leaks and smells like mold )and your apartment feels like a sauna. Please, take your money elsewhere. Oh, and walls are paper thin and you can smell and hear every conversation or cigarette that's lit. This isn't luxury what so ever. Worst management I've ever experienced. You've been warned.

This building is undergoing a 3 year renovation, so guess what that means? Apparently, 15% annual rent increases, intermittent elevator service ( gets old when you have to walk UP 15 flights, never mind the walk down. Laundry units work intermittently also. There are far better buildings in the neighborhood, for less money, to have to deal with this nonsense.

A major pipe bursted on the 7th Floor on February 15th 2016. Everything down was flooded and destroyed, including renters personal possessions. The Building management company - Fetner - did not treat the issue with urgency, consideration and respect - people's livelihoods were affected! - it deserved. Full blow construction on site now. Be aware - dust, unsanitary and unsafe. Mold issues to come - can not be otherwise given the water saturation level and the light measures being taken.

Awful apartment building. More expensive than other apartments in the area and far less amenities. Constant maintenance issues including no air conditioning for months at a time, recent bed big infestation, mice. Unsafe neighborhood.

Noise level (both external from the construction and internal) has gotten much worse. Far away from everything. Can be better maintained. I smell my neighbors cookings all day long!

I love this building! I came from the west village so I got a lot for my money. The staff was great a d there is a parking garage adjacent to building. I lived on a high floor so I had amazing views of the East River. Great deal. I moved because I bought a place but I would of stayed.

Just moved in a couple months ago. I love this building so far. The gentlemen at the front desk are nice and helpful. They have gone out of their way to get me numbers of cable/internet staff. I get an email every time a package comes as well as a phone call with grocery deliveries. The super was there for the move-in and he was a nice guy, lots of character. I had a problem with my lock and it was fixed immediately with a smile. The amenities are nice including the lounge, with free k-cup drinks, nice gym, big TV viewing room, poker table and table soccer. great place to host a sunday football party. Granted I haven't been here long, and I will certainly post again further down the road good or bad... but so far... its great.

have only bad experiences from my stay here. especially the administrative staff are not to be trusted. The construction may seem nice at a first glance but is really bad, trust me. Do not trust the leasing officer!
