I have been living at Riverside Park for almost a year. Noise is horrible, my neighbors listen to music so loud that even the dishes at my place vibrate. I have complaint many times but they do nothing. Be aware of this before you decide to move in here. The corridor is very dirty too. We have had dead roaches lying in there for more than two weeks, I complained many times and told them to clean it, but it takes them ages to take action. It is disgusting. If you want a peaceful and clean place to live in, this is not a good choice. As soon as my lease ends. I will be gone.

Pros: Nice and BIG renovated apartments. Ridiculous views. Solid management company. Have done a great job with the coronavirus and care about the tenants. Cons: Some tenants can be noisy in the lobbies and don’t treat the building or staff with respect. Crappy old windows but they just started replacing them with really nice new ones. Advice to landlord: Set up text messaging for tenants to contact management.

If you have a bit more money to spend on rent - please look for other places. 1. Noise is terrible. Neighbors are blasting music in the street all day long. It is unbearable. 2. They can't keep the elevators working. Imagine having one elevator for 30+ floors. It take forever just to get down to the lobby. 3. The maintenance people can't even fix a broken toilet. 4. There are always teenagers hanging out in emergency staircase. Cigarette butt is everywhere and it smells like cigarette. The management is aware but doesn't take any action. 5. If you package was left by your door, assume it will be stolen in no time.

Neighbor continues to pound his speaker every afternoon M-F and the weekends. Have complained multiple times to the building management, security, and nothing done. The speakers are so loud our walls shake and dishes in our cabinets shake as well. Terrible living condition. Can't wait to move out.

Fridays at 2:00 p.m. there is a salsa party going on somwhere in the building and their speakers are throbbing ... 2 times a month you will suprisingly have no hit water ir no water at all ... it has been 5 months that the gas lines to the oven/stive gas been off so no one in the entire building is cooking ha! ... it gets better, sporadically in the winter your heat will go off maintenence cannot assist you with this ha! The elevators do go out and if you study or work from home there will be unplanned construction jack hammer noises coming from somewhere in the building ... Rent isnt compensated for these hardships ha! On the plus side i haven't seen a rat :) and I feel safe ... thats what matters to me because i can always take showers at the gym and get delivery food lmao and when the laudromat is open again (no gas) it will help and its two blocks from the train ... it's like renting a hotel room not living in a home

The worst. Think of the worst, most unpleasant place to live, and then magnify it by a million. The management company here is among the most ineffective, irresponsible and morally bankrupt of all the shady NYC management companies out there (and there are PLENTY.) Do yourself a favor and keep on walking- do not be seduced by the new, shiny apartment, the no fees or the spectacular views, (if you're lucky enough to get an apartment on a high floor). It's JUST NOT WORTH IT. Basic tenant rights, and their overall safety, or overwhelmingly ignored. During a recent fire (after 4 apartments burned to the ground because some brain surgeon left their front door open to let the fire spread), tenants were scared they would have no way out of the building because elevators are not running most days (for a building with over 30 floors) and some prick(s) has taken it upon themselves to remove doorknobs on doors leading to the stairway. I wish this was the extent of the problems here. There are many, many more, including the fact that tenants frequently through large and heavy objects out their windows for no discernible reason, other than to potentially hurt someone. (Turns out they did, apparently something heavy was thrown out a window, hitting and killing a young boy who was playing in the school courtyard below. RENT AT YOUR OWN RISK. These people care much more about renovating these apartments at a breakneck speed, as to lure unsuspecting students and young professionals in as fast as they can, (and then of course OUT just as quickly once these people realize the true horror of living here) than they do about the safety and well being of anyone who resides here. Also, I hope you enjoy the urine and drug fumes of your fellow tenant. You will smell them consistently in hallways, the elevators, and all other shared common space.
