Pros: One of the cheapest buildings I’ve seen in this neighborhood; Eric Goldberg is one of the building managers and he’s very responsive and nice; quiet neighborhood on weekends. Cons: The super is the worst super I’ve ever dealt with - he doesn’t really understand English and will blame you for things you clearly didn’t do. He gets mad at you if you ask him to do anything during the workday or on the weekends and refuses to help you. He’s rude and lazy - nothing more to it. I’ve had cockroaches and mice in my unit and I throw out my trash every 1-2 days. They do offer extermination once a month but they won’t help with anything late in the night or on holidays. They turn on the heat even when it’s 65° outside so be prepared to sweat year round. The people in this building are pretty nice except for the occasional stomping and baby-crying but that seems pretty common anywhere else. Advice to landlord: After speaking to multiple neighbors, we all will be moving out and not recommending people to live here because of the super. He is the laziest and grumpiest super I’ve ever seen.

Pros: Size of kitchen? Strange set up Cons: Only got hot or cold water in shower head. The shower head that we had- would only spit out burning hot water or cold if we turned off the water completely. When discussed we were told that we were lucky we got hot water on an upper floor. This resulted in taking a fast colder shower, a bath or going to the gym. In the smaller room black mold like stuff grew out from the wall, and was found when I moved the bed. Mouse came into the apartment through a gap at the front door abs ran through the apartment and disappeared into the wall. An entire group came in together. Landlord was not concerned. There was cosmetic damage caused by a previous tenant-that they fixed over with the wrong material (I don’t know I’m not handy) but with regular use it chipped and rubbed off and they insinuated that we had caused damage and they might come after us. Walked in when we moved in to red painted floors. In addition- some units were rent stabilized but not told until we had to be by the city. Additionally we were only given one set of keys so we returned one and disposed of the other and they demanded them. The shower was a huge deal. And the mice. And the trash. In addition, in somewhere between 2005-2007 it was rent stabilized at 1520. Now it’s 2900. Advice to landlord: Keep trash better in area. Fix problems.
