Pros: Incredible building staff (doormen, porters, maintenance) and a generally nice building Cons: Pros are undone by the Management Company, Equity Residential. Continuous turnover in leasing office. Lease renewals are a nightmare and they treat longtime tenants like garbage. Not worth the hassle- a horribly run company. Advice to landlord: Treat your tenants for what they are- valued customers. The NY market will continue to change post-COVID and renters will have an increasing number of options. You need to adapt as soon as possible.
