Abusive, discriminatory building super. A nightmare to deal with while I was trying to move out and still having PTSD after many years. Called management who was not helpful. Should’ve filed a report to the housing department. Avoid at all cost!

his building is really good location. Overall the whole apartment was pretty good and Douglas Elliman was a very professional management company. I would rate it 4 except for the super, Vasel, who tried to stop me from moving out on my move out day. I forwarded my lawyer a recording of the super being hostile and clearly being discriminatory. There is a reason the building is now half empty and it's because no one wants to deal with him.

I came home to my building lobby swarming with police because someone was running an illegal drug lab in it. Apparently they rent to anyone here. As per the article ( ) and attachment. They rented one of the rooms to a known criminal "Radoslav Boev, 36". First page google search on this guy shows he has a thick criminal background. I am talking to my lawyer to see how to get out of my lease early.

Do NOT live in this building - the super is an absolute tyrant and the front desk staff is equally rude. The super ell scream at you with little to no provocation and the front desk staff will back him, letting you know why it's your fault the super was upset. Even moderately sized packages are turned away if you aren't there the moment the package arrives to pick it up. Building staff refuses to bring packages to your door if you're not home. Large packages that arrive after 5 are also turned away because the super requires you to reserve the elevator and leave a $500 check. There is NO flexibility on this so plan to take an entire day off of work to pick up a package (which will be a waste of your time anyway if it doesn't arrive before 5). Amenities often don't work and the gym and roof deck are filthy and badly maintained. Assuming this is because the building is busy making life as difficult for tenants as possible and doesn't have time.

Apartment building is in an excellent location especially if you work midtown or go out a lot around in the area. The apartments are overpriced IMO - for $3595 you could get a brand new luxury apartment close by. There are 3 lifts and wait time is generally pretty bad. The walls are ok but if you're moving in and don't have kids or just don't want to hear screaming/crying at 6am on a daily basis, find out if your neighbors have any first because the walls are not that thick. My neighbors have a kids under 5yo and I wake up early every day when they start to cry and scream. Even with ear plugs in. There is a lot of construction happening on the streets close to Central Park. The dust and noise does travel - added to the general street noise the apartment can get very noisy. The staff are great and if you get to know everyone they are they are generally helpful. Overall, I would happily stay on even with the screaming kids if the rent was more reasonable. But right now, I can't recommend the building to anyone due to the price.

This is the worst management company I have ever had the misfortune of renting from! They are rude, non communicative and view each tenant/unit as just another source of income. Also forget about the amenities. You do have to pay additional monies for the gym, paperwork must be filled out every 3 weeks for a dog walker or cleaning person, deliveries of any kind are not permited to be delivered to your door. The roof deck is dirty and has extremely limited hours too. Honestly, the vibe of this building is awful. RUN do not walk away from this place.
