Building has gone down so significantly. Management is untruthful and maintenance is inept when it does occur. It’s like nobody is home minding the store. Very transient because of all the problems and lack of interest by management

I love this building! Moved here in September from another area of the UES. Great modern amenities, gorgeous roofdeck with grills and amazing views, nice staff (doormen give my dogs treats every time we go down), valet service... and surprised at how quiet it is. I was nervous being on 86th would be loud but I barley hear anything and never hear my neighbors. The gym is great too with two peloton machines and the building pays for the subscriptions. Building is well managed and I'm impressed with the general communication of management and the resident website. They make living here so easy - you don't even have to pick up your own packages! I love my modern kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a gorgeous wood covered fridge that matches the cabinets. Also love the heated floors in the bathroom and was surprised at how spacious it is once we moved all our furniture. The closets are deep and have high ceilings so I was able to fit more than I thought. Lastly the high ceilings and windows make it bright and sunny Overall super happy I could buy this apartment!

I moved into the Colorado in December 2015. The building is being renovated and when we moved in we asked if the construction above us was completed. They said yes but were lying. They waited until a month after we were moved in to begin the construction on the floor directly above us. The drilling goes on from 9-5 and it is not possible to hear a phone meeting during those times. It is unlivable. They regularly cut our electricity, water and internet with no compensation and no notice- sometimes basic utilities can be restored same day but sometimes not. Our apartment is filled with dust daily from the construction. The workmanship is shoddy and everything is breaking (e.g., the wood is shrinking so the closet doors no longer fully close. The wall paint and all the moldings all cracked under the pressure of the constant jack-hammering above us. The washing machine breaks about once a month. The air conditioning units soak the untreated wood floors and each unit in the apartment has had to be replaced at least once because they were all broken) The doormen are very nice but powerless to help. All repairs take a long time to fix because the entire building is undergoing these breakages due to the construction all at once, and the maintenance people are not trained to fix the new construction so every time a repair needs to be made we have to wait for the contractors they hired to do the construction to become available.

Management has no regard for tenants during ongoing construction projects. Contractors are given allowed unfettered access to all floors of the building. the floors on which the work is taking place are filthy. The management is unrepentant about this. What was once a nice roof garden is now unmaintained. good luck to these guys moving forward trying to command the rents they are seeking! The staff, however, is excellent. Too bad for them.

Very tough with the construction. But the people who work on the team are lovely and we are hanging in there waiting for a new lobby and rec center.

I have lived here for four years. This apartment building has been heading down a horrible path. Back in the day, there were never apartments on the market; now there are 5 currently for rent. The new managament and leasing specialists are worse than the previous which i did not think was previously possibly. The staff, however, remain the only reason to stay in the building, they are the best. Marijuana reeks throughout the hallways and no one cares or addressess the situation. This building has made a horrible strategic decision between turning apartments from one bedrooms into 2-3 bedrooms, and an eventual condo conversion. I say good luck to the Colorado, greed got the best of you i guess.

I am amazed that Jim H is still employed at the Colorado. He is simply a horror. He has a horrible reputation in the Bldg and is known as being a pathological Liar. He will lie right to your face over and over again. Many tenants wonder how he is still working here. He is quick to evict for no apparent reason, just seems to want to "look good" for his superiors. He is a farce, a fake, a phony and a very poor representation of this lovely bldg. The staff such as Anthony, Hector, Jimmy, Emilio, and Ruben are lovely, professional and courteous. They are terrific. Its a shame they have to be verbally abused constantly by such a mean spirited individual. He is a disgrace. Why is he still employed here. WHY? Does anyone really care or know? He has caused much stress for me as well as many others for no apparent reason. He should have been terminated long ago

I found the management staff to be very professional and had approved my application in less than 24 hrs. The front desk is awesome! They really helped make the move really smooth.

i have lived in this building for three years before JIM who oversees the building started, they had the best management office staff ever. JIM yells, screams, is not accomodating considering we are in a new economy. he will raise your rent every year, NO FAIL. they do not value individuals who have lived there for over three years which is a pitty. anthony and emilio however, are the best doormen and Jimmy is always willing to help out at any given time.

Lived there for over a year and greatly enjoyed the apartment. It is located in a very convenient location and doorman are all very friendly. HOWEVER, the office staff and management only knows how to rise your rent and HOLD YOUR DAMAGE DEPOSIT. We waited over 2 months already. LAundry is very expensive per load and all the machine DOES NOT WORK AT ALL THE TIME.
