Unit 4 Pros: the price is great, neighbors are friendly but mostly college students, cat friendly and no fee Cons: hard to get a hold of management/landlords when there is an issue. our stove broke and it took almost four weeks to get replaced, initially lots of roaches, but went away after the first few weeks which was good Advice to landlord: please respond quickly to maintenance requests

Pros: Good location near the L train Cons: The gas in the entire building was turned off for 9 months and the management company was very unhelpful and did not give us any money in compensation.

Unit 5 Pros: It was okay, great location, easy enough garbage, easy keypad and getting in and out Cons: We had the ceiling fall in both bathrooms. The first one was a relatively quick fix and we still had a second bathroom. The second time our apartment flooded and the management company (Metronest) was HORRIFIC. We went 3 days with little to no response (even when going to their main office were told there was nothing they could do). until finally my roommates lawyer uncle got involved to get literally any help. Advice to landlord: Be available, we did not even have a number for a super.

Pros: It is in a great location, the apartment layout is nice, the neighborhood is safe, and there is a nice view from the front facing windows Cons: It gets way too hot, there was no gas for seven months, the management company is unresponsive, there are mice, the cabinet space is poor, there is a step up into the bathroom, the water temperature is uncontrolled so it is very difficult to take an enjoyable shower, there are problems with the pipes in the building so most tenants experience the need for ceiling repairs (ceiling fell in on me while I was showering) and you cannot buzz downstairs as the system is broken Advice to landlord: Fix the buzzer, fix the water, treat your tenants like housing is a right, be more responsive, clean the hallways

Pros: Quiet, sometimes. No other pros Cons: Had to deal with multiple flying cockroaches that came in from holes in apartment. Only window in apartment opens to trash alley, which is likely why there are so many pests. Heater broken, would be unbearably hot in spring and fall. Tenants had to organize with flyers in order to get unresponsive landlord to act. Hot water broken, shower would go from extremely hot to freezing cold in a second. Landlords were unresponsive and unhelpful when seeking aid during pandemic. Buzzer broken. Advice to landlord: Respond to tenants, fix your old and falling apart buildings.
