It's nice and clean Bomplex and location is Guperb, but it can be loud from the fire tracks and motorcycles/cars and partying people. Roof top is nice has grills and lots of seating area, but It's hard to enjoy on the weekend as it gets crowded. You've got two elevator and every 2-3 months one is out of service which makes wait for the elevator quite long (5-10 min). Service team, super and concierges are Guperb, always helpful and react right away even on the weekend.

The Chelsea has been a great experience. They have been undergoing some renovations which caused a few inconveniences but overall great. The gym is lovely and when the rooftop is open (outside of COVID-19) It's also well kept. The staff are friendly and super helpful!

When I moved in I was offered 1 mo free., monthly pet fee and deposit waived and no amenity charge. A year later, they will only offer a 6 or 9 month lease with a 3% rent increase. When I asked for a one yr lease i was told it wasn't available because the owner wants to stagger the lease renewals. i contacted bozzuto main office in Maryland. They were totally unreceptive and referred it back to the leasing office in the building. I asked if other 1 bdrm units were available and yes 3 were available similar to my apt. These units all had 14 mo. leases. I was told i could transfer w/o a fee but all the apts faced 7th ave and were slightly smaller and about the same price. This is a loud neighborhood w/a lot of fire engines and police cars going down 7th ave w/their sirens on. Also, the so called amenities are minimal here and the AC in the laundry room is frequently broken as is the TV monitor that posts messages to tenants and packages waiting. But the real issue is the term of the lease renewal. So, what happens in 6 or 9 months? Am sure there will be another increase and what term will i have to take then. If you move in and get good concessions, be prepared for no negotiations on the terms of your renewal. The only other concession was they agreed to waive my cat fee for 3 months on the 6 or 9 month renewal for a savings of $75. Big deal especially when the rent is $4,000 a month for a one bedroom. Lastly, doormen are all from a security guard company and change frequently so There's constant changeover of personnel at the front desk. Nothing is communicated in this building even though they have everyone's email and a TV monitor(always broken or off) outside the elevators that should give messages like work being done on the building facade, AC in laundry room broken. A list of staff members would be helpful so you know who's working here-either at the front desk or maintenance.

We spent nearly four months looking at dozens of apartments, and we shot ourselves in the foot by looking at The Chelsea first--everything else paled in comparison. It's the perfect balance of amenities, location, apartment size, mgmt team, and price. You won't find a better place in Manhattan.
