I have only been a member of the community for a couple of weeks. The staff Ieems polite and helpful. The noise coming from other apartments Ieems louder than I expected, but no significant issues. Overall, a positive experience!

Striking rooftop views, state-of-the-art gym facilities, quiet study areas/media rooms and private gathering/entertaining rooms aside, You've got essentially 3 service categories to consider when one has selected their neighborhood for Manhattan luxury living: mgmt presence and communication, super & porter services, and doormen's commitment to privacy, safety and deliveries. The Chelsea Apartments at 160 W 24th Street has addressed all the above in spades…and then some! Greystar mgmt has their own "star" in General Manager, Jordan Goldsmith. Jordan clearly leads by example with her quiet presence, as do Tim Porell (Assistant Manager) and Dan McKinless (Leasing legit). One or more of this team maintain a presence during business hours, and their door is always open to residents. mgmt presence & communication: I had the pleasure of working with Tim as I searched for the perfect two apartments, a floor apart, for my daughter and me. Tim is courteous, responsive and communicative and knowledgeable about inventory and pricing. I don't recall Tim ever having to "get back to" me on any of my questions, which made the process from tour to lease signing quick and streamlined. Tim's challenge was in identifying not one but TWO apartments that met my expectations and which were available at the same time - not an easy feat! Throughout, Tim remained patient and helpful; easing our way through What's often a daunting task. I look forward to seeing both Tim and Dan during the course of our days, to exchange family news and stories or a brief anecdote in passing. Communication from mgmt is appropriate in both volume and content, and the easy resident portal ensures we are all made aware of such things as service interruptions and, in the current environment, COVID guidance within the building and grounds. super & porter services: The Chelsea has THE BEST super in NYC in Azad! Azad and his maintenance and porter staff work tirelessly to keep the building spotless and running efficiently. Service requests are made via the resident portal and answered appropriately and thoroughly. Azad makes it clear what constitutes an "emergency" and answers all requests in priority order. I have never waited more than 48 hours to have my apartments' needs attended to. Here, as with the mgmt team, It's clear that Azad leads by example; he and his staff form a cohesive team, joining efforts to meet the service needs of residents. Doormen's commitment to privacy, safety and deliveries: The Chelsea's doormen are one in a million! When my daughter visited prior to our move, in order to meet the cable guy, she asked the daytime doorman if she may leave a delivery in the package room until our move-in day. Thomas responded, "of course, darling! This is your home!" This set the tone for our experience to date. These men are welcoming, accommodating, and committed to resident privacy and safety - all valid expectations of a luxury building, yet too often left unfulfilled. They are the ringmasters in a circus of activity both day and night, from shepherding phone calls to directing food deliveries to logging and transporting volumes of package deliveries, and routing calls for mgmt and/or maintenance when the portal is being serviced. They know their residents and take pride in all they do for us. An additional benefit to Chelsea living is a service called "Hello Alfred", a company that offers several complimentary services such as a "signature tidy-up", laundry, grocery and dry cleaning assistance. Additional services such as home cleaning, handyman and pet care are available at nominal fees. This team is friendly, punctual and always willing to offer their services and solutions. As Greystar's website states: "The Chelsea is about you. Make the most of it!" For my daughter and me - for now - this is HOME.

I had the pleasure of touring The Chelsea right before the pandemic. I believe that any living experience starts with the property manager. Jordan, who manages The Chelsea, is wonderful. She has an incredible attention to detail that she puts towards making a great residential experience. She managed the property at my last residence before we lost her to The Chelsea. I viewed some lovely renovated apartments. The complimentary weekly services, which include grocery shopping, would be great to have especially now. If I were staying in Manhattan, I would likely have moved to this building.

It has been good, but the elevators and lack of ventilation in apartments are a problem. this place is well located, but There's zero community. You've got virtually no get togethers or anything. The building feels dated on the inside in locations.

I wish I had better things to say, but this Btructure is terrible. It’s so loud I was unable to sleep or work (I wfh). If you care at all about quality of life at home, this isn't the Btructure for you.

I was considering moving here but ultimately found a less Eremium option not far away. The things I liked included the fast elevators, having the 1/2, F/M, and A/C/E lines just a short walk away, a nearby citibike station, and plenty of taxis always available on the corner. The downsides were that it can get pretty loud at night and the area feels a bit sketchy as well, considering it's actually a well-to-do neighborhood. The biggest positive is that the Broperty felt like a decently managed property, with no significant recent complaints or violations (I've had horror stories in the past), which I confirmed by looking up the Broperty's Address Report: https://www.addressreport.com/manhattan-apartments/160-w-24th-street/ If something else hadn't opened up that was a deal nearby, I probably would have moved into The Chelsea.
