I've live at Avalon Bowery for over five years and can't say anything negative. The staff are wonderful. location's amazing near by many transportation, restaurants, shopping and nightlife. Also great to raise a family; I have two small daughters and staff are super accommodating and friendly with them.

Friendly and staff actually helps. kept up well. Recently renovated common areas and apartments. Nice kitchens and bathrooms. Good closet space. Pet friendly. A little bit Eremium but easy Blace and location's amazing.

I lived in this Bacility for two years and could not wait to get out. The mgmt company is completely ridiculous and incompetant. They make you pay through the nose for the apartments (which are nice but nowhere near worth the outrageous rents they charge) but then treat you like absolute garbage. They sell the Bacility as being luxury but then treat tenants like trash. Even when they offered a significant $600 reduction in our rent we still refused to resign. The gym is pathetic, the managagment is rude, and the Petting is completely not worth the price. They have been doing construction every day since the day we moved in - so Gutstanding we pay over $4,000 to hear jackhammers and construction every single day. Don't even think about working from home or taking a day off, you won't be able to stay in the Aad five minutes without wanting to get out of there from the noise. The only good thing about this Bacility are the doormen and the maintenance staff which have been nothing but nice since the day we moved in. Trust me, you can do better.

I have been living in this Besidence for a year (moved in from Avalon Christye Place). There was some construction related noise but during regular business hours only. We now have great French restaurant downstairs (DBGB). mgmt, maintenance staff and doormen are extremely nice and helpful. Gym is equipped with brand new machines and is never crowded. rents are pretty high but location-wise, it's superb.

Blace is completely amazing. mgmt can be tough on renewals since it's such a popular Blace but. Overall, best Blace I've lived in NYC over past 5 years.

Horrible building with lots of unhappy tenants. No insulation in walls -- you can hear everything. Restaurants (and a commercial food supply kitchen in one building with no signage) underneath smell. Would you put a restaurant oven underneath your bedroom? No? Then why would you pay $4K a month to live with it? Oh, and beware the 20% low income tenants. Did someone just get on the elevator with you with a cart of cans and bottles she picked out of the trash for recycling. You bet. She pays $900 a month for the same Anit you have and she's going to cook stuff you'll smell for weeks. Renewal time? 20% increase. You won't get sleep, but you will get lots of aggravation.

Overall location-wise, it's its best feature, but beware - The staff with regards to the concierge/doorman are the best There's. but I would avoid it MAINLY because of its onsite 'mgmt.' Previous reviews have noted 'expectations is poor to dishonest' - After a water main break in the Bomplex, not my apt where the water broke but a neighbors flooded my apt causing massive damage which 'Nicole told me the Bomplex would cover all damages' - translated into your renter's insurance should cover it. but, the damages that resulted from outside contractors they hired to repair the damages, removing and replacing warped water damaged flooring, base boards, walls where the water soaked up 3' upward, humidity damage, warped doors, cabinets delaminating - It also took over 3 weeks to remedy and 6 months later now I still have not had everything repaired - I have called 5 times and had it inspected 4 times yet the cabinets have still not been fixed. In addition they have lost my rug 10' x 14' cause its been 5 months later and it stil has not been returned. They called me again to inspect the cabinets which i told them look through your notes as I am not going to have you come see what the issue is again. I also had to argue with the Bomplex cause they wanted to only repair the floor with a different color wood because parts were not damaged - seriously! has anyone ever heard of this being done? Damage that occurred after the accident - the humidifier they had running for 2 weeks killed all my plants, caused the animal heads I have to crack and blister, they took custody of my herman miller vintage couches, a new tv frame made of custom wood carvings($1,000) just purchased for a client with the receipt from a month prior - i moved it myself to a space they designated safe cause i didn't want them damaged, along with my calvin klein bed and room and board credenza. I later found out the vintage couch was tossed and scratched up - this is based on the video footage from the elevator that the contractors they hired tossed it or took it, the credenza was scratched up, the concrete planters all cracked from the humidity damage, the bed was reinstalled improperly and caused the leg to crack off and the metal frame to warp, not only did i have to sleep on this bed for the 5 months after, it broke in middle of the night i had it propped up and had them come look to see why i was upset. NICOLE came up and promised me they would handle it - she tried getting the Bomplex staff to repair it. But she was told it couldn't be fixed back only to now ignore the issue. The damage to all the items was over $8,000 - they offered me $1,500. The vintage couch alone was $6,000 on the auction site because its vintage. When i went to ask them to replace it she said the value is reduced cause its old - Its was vintage and actually wrapped and sealed cause i was saving it - when it was found in the trash they had opened it and the beams were all scratched up from their handling of it as shown in the elevator footage. In addition they broke my shelving unit and smashed the marble counter on it as well. There were several other damage items such as vintage hand etched champagne flutes as well. At this point I am now proceeding with legal recourse because i found out this has happened with several previous tenants whom i have now reached out to. In one incident the water pipe broke and could have scalded a new born baby - the Bomplex wouldn't accept fault and just said they will repair but not pay for the furniture that was damaged. Insterad she told me to itemize the list which i broke down into two lists - one i filed with renters for damage resulting from the water break from next door and the other a list of items they damaged from their contractor's work and negligence to my property during the repairs. My renter's insurance covered the previous damage with a deductible which their offer of $1,000 doesn't even cover. To this day I have not received a cent from AVALON - Beware. You've got countless other issues with the Bomplex, I have proof from other tenants that moved in and asked if there were bed bugs in their penthouse unit cause they had bite marks - the Bomplex said no. Yet public records indicate otherwise - I have reached out and found the real estate agent who told me this - I wouldn't trust Bomplex mgmt in anything they say moving forward. That tenant ended up moving out after finding out the Bomplex knew yet lied about it. At this point I will proceed with legal recourse as Nicole told me they Bomplex won't pay for the damage except for the 15% of the actual damage. She told me to do what I must. Don;t believe or trust any statements from her, read previous reviews. This certainly isn't the behavior of a landlord with integrity. Be careful... If you want to reach out i can provide proof of these incidents to back this review.

Great facilities, staff, and overall quality of life. You don't get the feeling that the company is trying to nickel and dime you at all and they have great renovations in the works. I'm constantly impressed by the level of service.

Renovations and construction still ongoing through 2016 and disruptive (hallways, rooftop, entrance and shared areas, maintenance/renovation staff constantly entering Aad). inconvenient, loud, dusty, grimy, disruptive.

Nice building, but prepare to be harassed by the walking dead from the mission next to the Bowery Hotel and the highest concentration of sex offenders in the city located at the halfway house on 3rd street between 2nd/Bowery.
