Pros: Porters do a great job and the super and building manager are at least responsive despite not being very helpful Cons: You will experience electrical issues, leaks, rats, mice, German cockroaches (the building refuses to do monthly pest maintenance), water clogs, and landlord resistance to properly replacing an appliance. Full size fridge broken? They will send you a mini fridge to save money. Rats? Well we won’t tests the building and seal holes but we can send you pest control to hand you some glue traps and wish you luck. The leases are also sketchy. They don’t allow pets or take ESA letters and issue a lease addendum, and the leases also say no window AC’s, yet all of these things are approved. Advice to landlord: Quit being a slumlord

Pros: Area is great, the new super takes trash out multiple times a day and mops the floor with lavender smelling soap everyday. The units themselves are just fine. For cheap rent, I dont mind. Cons: Someone leaves their electric scooter chained to the staircase and it is SO LOUD. Sometimes there are centipedes and I have seen a roach before. Pretty sure there is mold from the heat pipes but I cant be sure. Advice to landlord: Tell the person with the scooter to shut the sound off, and check for mold.

Pros: Location in midtown Trader Joe’s Trains Cons: Super responsiveness was awful Cannot get a hold of management Management is rude Advice to landlord: Get ethics and stop being scum lords

Unit 34 Pros: Neighbors were nice. Cons: Mice. Roaches. Super never actually shows up. Management is a billionaire trust fund, they are mean and unresponsive. Advice to landlord: Do better.

Pros: Friendly neeighbours, great location Cons: No sink in the house. The heater in the rooms are old and make noises when the steam goes up. There is banging sound every 2-3 hours. The super is very slow to respond Advice to landlord: Remodel the kitchen and change the super

Pros: Access to subway lines, Trader Joe’s, laundry Cons: Old, no smoke detectors work, super is not very responsive, management is not very flexible

Pros: Nice that they have a exterminator that sprays common area but also knocks in your door if you would like a free spray in your unit Cons: Why is there so much house centipedes?? And another bug that is really tiny and looks like a black dot (no idea what they’re called).
